Game Preview – Friday April 9, 2010 – Indiana Pacers @ Cleveland Cavaliers
It’s all about rest from here on out. The Cavaliers are gearing up for the postseason & will play their 2nd to last home game of the 2009-2010 regular season tonight, when they host the Indiana Pacers at the Q. Look for more starters to be inactive in this one & more playing time for the likes of Jamario Moon, Sebastian Telfair, Jawad Williams, Boobie Gibson (if healthy), J.J Hickson, Leon Powe, and Danny Green from here on out. Moon & Telfair played exceptionally well in last night’s 109-108 loss @ Chicago w/out LeBron James in the lineup. With 2 of the final 3 games against playoff teams, the final run will be a tough one for the Cavaliers, and will provide a test of fortitude for the bench bunch, if the Cavaliers do in fact choose to rest their starters.
First up is the Indiana Pacers, who are coming in having won 2 in a row, and 8 of their last 10. They are averaging 107.4 points per game over their last 10, while surprisingly holding their opponents to 97.5 per game, although they have now allowed an average of 104 points per game over their last 3 ball games. This will be an interesting game, as the Pacers are coming in losers of 10 of their past 11 road games.
