Game #81: Boston Celtics @ Cleveland Cavaliers | April 12th, 2014 | [7:30 EST]

Exactly. But it's not Irving we should be looking at to take a "leap". He is already an All-Star

It's Grant's other pile of shit draft picks that we need to see improvement in. We need just one to consistently play at an All-Star for a year.

By now I've realized it would be too much to ask for one of them to become a plus defender.

Dion? Bennett? Even TT to a lesser extent? Grant has hardly drafted a pile of shit. Open your eyes.

And we are still looking at Kyrie to make the leap. Yes, he's an all-star already but all-stars don't get paid max contract money. Superstars do. He needs to play like a superstar to justify the fat contract we're about to offer him.

Furthermore, Dion is already a plus defender. What he struggles with is mental lapses where he takes some plays off.

What a terrible post...

It's been a while since Kyrie was the best player on the team. You better hope for a leap from him. And he is the worst defender of all of the "pile of shit" draft picks.

Bucks then the Celtics. The Nets are going to hang the 50 loss season on us. That is a pisser. I know this game means nothing but the number 50 is significant in wins/loses.

25 points for Olynyk and Bradley. Just a special effort tonight.

So? I don't give a shit if he's already an all-star. Improvement stops? Should I expect Dion Waiters to be as good as Kyrie Irving? Does that even make sense.

The same type or argument to excuse LBJs performance against Boston. Well, he was still better than everyone else!! Of course he was. But what the hell does that even mean? He's supposed to be better than ANderson Varejao or Antawn Jamison. But until the star player starts living up to his own abilities, the team will never be as good as it should be.

To whom god gives the most, the most is expected. Furthermore, Kyrie is the only guy who is going to get paid a max contract. Standard should be higher for him than anyone else based on that alone.

You're overreacting. This team has faced a lot of adversity as a result of their doing and some from unforeseen, unfortunate circumstances.

We'll be a good team next year. We're missing a lot of key pieces right now and even you can't deny that.

I will agree though that unless Kyrie takes the step we thought he'd take this year the future outlook of our team isn't as bright as I previously thought. Hopefully it happens though.

Those are? Again, if losing a 1 legged Deng and CJ Miles means you suddenly become the worst team in the league, we're not close.

I mean if you guys go into next year expecting zero injuries to zero key guys, I'm sorry but that's not happening.

I disagree and fail to see how you've reached this conclusion.

Is Karasev hurt? Or was it important to try to lose by 10 instead of 30?

Ouch. I'd say the players have combined to fire Mike Brown. He's gone, folks. But many of the shitty players will remain.

The owner is a goof. Everything beneath him reflects this sorry detail. He makes dumb predictions that have no chance of coming true. Lottery here we come.

One is a rookie and one is a sophomore. I don't think all hope is lost that at least one of Bennett or Dion can consistently play at an all-star level in the future. They're young players after all. It takes time for them to develop and from what we've seen out of Dion recently I'd say he's just about ready to start producing at that level heading into next season.

Just watch him. Dion has shown that he can stay in front of his man and play great on-ball defense. His off-ball defense, and occasionally on-ball when he's not checked in mentally, is what he's still having trouble with. He's not always focused which leads to defensive lapses.

Dion is evolving into a +defender(when he plays the 2 as he should).

Deng, hobbled and all, is still a big key to our success. The drop off between him starting and Alonzo Gee taking his roughly 35 mpg is huge.

We're also dealing with no CJ and a hobbled Andy. We're not 100% healthy and it has hurt us. Also doesn't help when our guys decide to just mail it in before the regular season ends

Am not denying the possibility. What am saying is, it's gonna have to happen if we are to become a legitimate playoff team, as constructed.

If Waiters plays in a different city, and I suspect he will, he will be on the all star bubble next year.
