Game Thread 2018-19 Season Game #18 | Cleveland Cavaliers vs Houston Rockets| November 24rd, 2018

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Sloppy before the half but still pretty good play

Rodney Hood has been laying like the player we though he was when we traded for him
I imagine it's very tough playing with a guy like LeBron because Hood has been night and day. We can actually get a piece for him if teams are desperate around the deadline.

Well we are two quarters in and actually ahead. This despite the number of fouls called for the Rockets. Its also interesting that we did not play the starters for most of the second quarter. So we have fresh legs. I tell you Drew is doing a good job with these guys. I mean we are still making bad plays. Too many turnovers, ball hogging, shot selection. But we are competing.

Its not like Houston has not had its problems. But I will take a tight game like this every night.

I think Sexton is playing well. TT continues to score (WTF) Kyle got hot for a stretch and Nance nails a Trey. Pretty exciting stuff!

Sexton is certainly a score first Pg and needs to improve setting guys up but I still feel like he is doing a good job getting guys involved, he is happy deferring to others to make plays etc

He actually has looked more comfortable since Sexton been a starter. Sexton seems to want the ball if a play breaks down which Hill and the rest of the starters didn't in the beginning of the season. Sexton has helped to get Rodney some open shots too.

Larry Nance Jr. at halftime, on how to contain Harden:

"Um... if I knew the answer to that he wouldn't be averaging 30. But no, we gotta do a little bit more of the same. He's made some tough shots and is getting questionable foul calls, so we just gotta hope the tides turn in the second half."

:chuckle:

I actually think it's a weight off Hood and Cedi's shoulders to have a guy like Sexton. Both were forcing it alot more at the beginning of the season. Both look more comfortable with Sexton running the point than Hill.

The whole team looking better individually and as a team. A few things that can get better are

- Cedi is buried in the corner. He just should touch the ball more.
- Zizic getting some minutes
- getting rid of sexton clarkson combo

Good player on bad teams.

Hill just wasn't aggressive enough making things happen, was too conservative leaving cedi and hood to make overly aggressive plays outside their normal games. Leading to forced passes from cedi and contested mid ranges from hood. Sextons abilities has allowed them to play more within themselves.
