Game Thread | Game #60 | Spurs @ Cavs | Feb. 13, 2023

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The Athletic has the Cavs 5th in their last power poll, good for 3rd in the East. Milwaukee and Boston are ranked 1 and 2 followed by Denver, Phoenix, and Cleveland.

This is a very dangerous team with a lot of ways to beat you when they’re healthy. But I do wonder if they have enough wing depth.

The Cavs are trending up with the return of Rubio and Wade plus learning how to stomp on inferior teams instead of toying with them and getting beat late.

The Sixers are ranked 7th. Brooklyn is now 18th, so it looks like Boston and Milwaukee will duke it out for 1st and 2nd while the Cavs and Sixers will battle for 3rd and 4th. Philly still has the toughest remaining schedule in the NBA, although it may be a little easier now that Brooklyn has apparently bailed.

“Wing depth”? Our problem is we don’t have any wings at all! At least not starter quality ones

No excuse to not win this one tonight and we owe them one.
And if we could also win on Wed. in Philly (it's possible) I'd be feeling good basketball wise thru the All star break.

Prob not a popular take, but I'd sit Mitchell (and maybe even Garland) for this one. We have plenty of firepower to blow them out without our AS guards (see: recent Detroit game). Let give the sixers hell on Weds and go into the break on an 8 game winning streak and with the 3 seed!

Darius learned so much playing with the main Olympic team. He almost made it. It's clear he's liked & respected around the game which speaks well for him, especially since he's still young.

Why do we have to sit players in order to keep them fresh? Why can't we let Garland and Mitchell each play about 20 minutes? Certainly that is better (for the team) than sitting them completely, and they would be well-rested for Wednesday. Is it all about hurting their points/game average?

Who you trying to see play out of Cedi, Danny, or Windler?

Not gonna lie, I'm trying to see Casper.
