Yeah he was a big “help” tonight.Mitchell helping us get past the rudderless Nets in a regular season game is not going to make me change my stance on the trade.
It was an impulsive, shortsighted move from an ownership and front office tandem that is desperate for us to be Portland East, aka a perennial playoff contestant with no hopes of ever actually contending for a championship.
We’ll erect a suitable monument.
Oh please dude.Mitchell helping us get past the rudderless Nets in a regular season game is not going to make me change my stance on the trade.
It was an impulsive, shortsighted move from an ownership and front office tandem foaming at the mouth for us to be Portland East, a perennial playoff contestant powered by undersized guards with no hopes of ever actually contending for a championship.
We even have parades for 0-16 teams so no reason not to have a monument for your arachnophobia. That seems very fitting for a city keen on erecting monuments for non-champions.
Portland NEVER had a player with the upside and two way potential of Mobley in their front court during that Lillard/McCollum eraMitchell helping us get past the rudderless Nets in a regular season game is not going to make me change my stance on the trade.

Your second paragraph is the key. It wouldn’t matter if teams hit a bunch of 3’s late in games if we didn’t have those 5-8 minute 4th quarter stretches where we only score 6The ending is frustrating but it very common for all teams. How many times have the Cavs been down big and then start hitting 3s in the latter stages of the 4th qtr to make the game closer than it really was.
I am worried about the late game offense though. This has become way too common.
Without LeVert’s last second 3 to end the 3rd and the steal when Brooklyn cut it to 11 who knows how this game ends.
