Game Thread | Game #8 | Cavs @ Pistons | Nov. 4, 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Can’t play better than this without your 2 thoroughbreds
If I didn’t know anything about this game , including who wasn’t playing, I would have said to myself before reading the BX score DM and DG really had good games…..

Neto is honestly too good to not be getting minutes when Rubio comes back. He makes a clear impact out there with his energy and defense.
There would literally be no meaningful PT for Neto if Rubio is completely healthy, that why I’m in no rush to bring Rubio back until he as healthy as he going to be this season……

Now with that said maybe on BB , you don’t play Rubio , and that where Neto can find some minutes, that isn’t Junk time….

Pistons looked horrible. These players don't go together well. They played some low iq ball, no care in the world on defense. Doesn't look like cade and ivey go together

Casey is a really bad coach. And outside of a few guys (who are still young and inexperienced), their roster is full of non-contributors.

Cade impressed me, so they have at least something to build on. I also think Ivey will be good in time.

The concern with Ivey at the moment is he doesn’t appear to be a great shooter

There was a game during the Daugherty/Nance/Price/Hot Rod era where they had either 17 or 18. I'll see if I can dig up when....

ETA - Cavs had two games during that era when they blocked 17 shots...plus a game against the Knicks where they blocked 21. Nance alone blocked 11.

I was at that game. The idiot Knick guards kept driving the lane putting up weak shit and Nance / Williams just swatted that away. Knicks coach called out his players after the game for their stupidity. Nance / Williams catchphrase was “Bring it on baby” and the Knicks paid the price and I don’t mean Mark.

Former Cavalier Elmore Smith once had 13 blocks in a game when he played for the Milwaukee Bucks.

I think he has the Cavs' record for 10 blocks in a game. Mobley may get that record.

Nance had 11 in the game I saw that my brother @The Human Q-Tip referenced.

I think Mobley’s good for a dozen at some point.

Well, to get a Cannae, you need both a genius like Hannibal and a fool like Varro.

Which means Mobley may need to encounter a pack of morons the equal of the 1988-89 Knicks to break that record.
