Good one.
Good one.
It could be because there are less close minded people now then 5 10 15 20 and 30 years ago. As time goes on people will care less and less about someone being gay. Growing up in the 80's and early 90's being gay was still seen as strange. Now, grown up I realize how foolish our society was. There wont be these huge arguments as much as the past. there are still plenty of people that want to hold on to their old outdated beliefs but they now know they are in the minority and dont seem as willing to fight a battle that the nation has decided they are on the wrong side of.This thread died real quick. I imagine public sentiment will do the same once enough people change their facebook pictures to rainbow colors and move on to the next fad.

It may not be a big deal to you and me, but it is to enough of the population to make it newsworthy. It is a pretty historic moment that students will learn about in History class 30, 40, 50 years from now. I really do see this country slowly getting more and more progressive as time goes on. Hopefully we become a more educated society that values cultural difference and does not cling to outdated "utopian ideals' that were really fairy tales. This is true. However, there are bigger issues at hand than gay marriage rights.
This is just a distraction....like most anything mainstream.

Well that is your perspective and you are entitled to it. But, I think the country as a whole is getting smarter and more open minded. We still have a ton of problems and we always did, but they are not as easy to hide as the 40's,50's and 60's due to media and technology. I believe in this country as a whole and am optimistic I will enjoy leaving in it through my old age. I do wish more people would become better educated about world affairs, other cultures and travel to other countries to see different perspectives. I understand that takes money, but it is worth while investment.I see this country going to hell in a handbasket in 10 years.
Terrible use of dos equis man maymay
Marriage is a legal means of distribution of property and a union representing the joining of two families . people have the right to own probably and to pass on their property to their family .
This ruling was a great step for ones right to marry but there is still more to be done. We have 1st cousins and brothers and sisters who still are not able to marry in this country.
Hence my recommendation of the cause taking up the confederate flag to represent their stand against the union.
which worked out for the confederacy because even though they lost the war. they got the very things they were asking for in the first place as reconstruction allowed the former confederate states to gain the monies needed to maintain large farm plantations under a new economic model that did not require indentured servitude or slavery and marked the birth of sharecropping.
yes property owners have the right to pay taxes on said property. this allows government at a local level to give you the right to pay for their services to tell you what you can and cant do on your property.I don't think you're joking, but either way you're on to something.....but God it's hard to follow your posts....and you have over 10,000 of them? lol
I find it funny that by "owning" "your" "property" you must continue to pay property taxes, indefinitely, for the land you live on. So, who exactly "owns" the land? Sure as hell ain't Gaia.....
Which has been said since....ever.I see this country going to hell in a handbasket in 10 years.
Which has been said since....ever.
With all the stuff that was supposed to ruin the country, 2 dudes getting hitched is way at the bottom.
