Going to Spring Training

I'm planning on spending a few days of my spring break(end of March) watching the Indians. I can't afford to visit Cleveland in the summer and I'd rather smash my own face in with a hammer than go to Anaheim so I figure this is probably my only chance to see them this year. Has anyone ever been and if so, what's it like? Any restaurant/lodging/activity recommendations for Goodyear?

I can't offer any advice, just envy.

I actually grew up by Goodyear (Peoria and Litchfield), but the area looks wayyyy different since then (talking around 17 years ago since I was there). I had scheduled a trip down to Florida to catch the Tribe in their last year in Winter Haven, but it fell through and I regret it. Enjoy seeing the Tribe in AZ- most teams are clustered in the greater Phoenix area, so don't just limit yourself to the Tribe. You should be able to catch several teams all within an hour or two drive.
