Gordon suspension reduced to 10, 12 if convicted of DWI

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Strategically the Browns should keep him on the roster until the NFL bans him for good. Seriously, in the off chance he gets his stuff together he could sign with a rival and kick our butts 2x a year. He's yours, he doesn't cost you very much. Keep his rights until the NFL tells him he can't play in their league any longer.

Agreed.

At this point, what are the Browns options other than outright release?

Can he just be suspended for conduct detrimental to the team in the interim?

Or do they just have to let the process play out.

At this point, it's pretty clear this guy doesn't give a shit.

I'm against that. While I can agree, that you only can save so much of yourself before the world turns on you - but remember the talent this guys brings to the field. That's it. Nothing else. Take nothing personal into account and you really have to let his talent speak for the guy.

I'm not giving up on Josh until he cuts his hand off, metaphorically speaking.

Again. His talent is too far great to give up on. He needs to take this next suspension like a man, grow from it and return as a man that this organization and everyone expected him to be.

His talent means absolutely nothing if he's never on the field to use it.

Nonetheless as has been said you have to hang onto him until he gets a life ban.

I hope he does get a lifetime ban at some point because I sure as hell don't want him, but I want no either team to have him either.

"North Carolina"

This has Greg Little written all over it.

Sorry guys, we had a little too much fun last night. He promised me he would get a driver.

Oh, and the story gets better.

The guy who bailed him out was Haydn Thomas-- a convicted felon (drug dealer, gun possession) with more pending drug charges. He's the guy PJ Hairston was involved with when he got in all of his trouble and kicked out of UNC.

I took some heat earlier in the thread, when the trade rumors began last year, because of my skepticism about Gordon staying clean. He's was out partying, involved with guys that were up to no good, and I said he looks like a guy who doesn't grasp the severity of his situation. He still doesn't have a clue.....

Find a nice woman to settle down with, get a PS4, find a hobby, find new friends, whatever. Forget football, Josh Gordon needs to pick up the pieces of his life at this point.

Fats Thomas and Greg Little absolutely have a relationship as well.

Not a guess.

Gordon has nobody to blame but himself, but I'd be shocked if the link between Gordon and Thomas isn't through Little.

His only chance is through public admittance of addiction and rehab. Four in one off season with his history is an easy call for the NFL, but addiction would protect his job security as long as he seeks help.

But I'm sure this was made clear to him last off season.
