According to the reports, Michigan State will name Grantham to the post on Monday replacing John L. Smith. MSU (4-7) finishes their season on the road at State College, PA., against Penn State and is not eligible to play in a post-season bowl game.
Published reports originating out of Cleveland have defensive coordinator Todd Grantham leaving the Cleveland Browns to become head coach of the Michigan State Spartans.
According to the reports, Michigan State will name Grantham to the post on Monday replacing John L. Smith. MSU (4-7) finishes their season on the road at State College, PA., against Penn State and is not eligible to play in a post-season bowl game for the third straight season.
Neither head coach Romeo Crennel, nor Grantham himself would comment on the reports. What is known is Grantham quickly became the leading candidate after former Detroit Lions and San Francisco 49ers head coach Steve Mariucci removed his name from consideration.

This really, really sucks.. Grantham was one of the guys that held this team together and did a GREAT job with this defense the last two years...
Well, looks like we will be looking for a new D-Coordinator next year.. Maybe Mel Tucker will take over, but I have a feeling we might take a look at Bo Pelini or Gene Chizik to fill that gaping hole.
