Great replacement for NBA League Pass

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Pretty intriguing. I'm concerned about them getting blocked or shut down, but if the service is better than LP AND cheaper, it is hard to say no. How do you guys, generally speaking, feel about watching LP broadband or Ballstreams compared to League Pass on TV? Streams always seem jumpy compare to real television, but maybe it has improved since I last tried LP broadband.

I don't think I would be concerned with BallStreams going down. HockeyStreams seems to have been up for a while.

Also I have my Stream hooked up to my projector and it doesn't seem jumpy at all. It feels just like a HD Netflix stream.

Foxsportsohio is awful. Ballstreams is much better. Don't even watch the game on cable. I wonder how they do it. it's like the amazon of basketball.

On one hand, there is no possible way that this is legal. On the other, it looks like the absolute best, totally have-their-shit together, illegal services I've ever seen. Especially fascinating that they've gotten permission to set up a Roku channel as I presume that had to be vetted/agreed to by Roku. All the other options are basically using your computer/tablet/phone which are neutral platforms that can't tell the difference between legal and illegal uses but Roku is different, that required someone at Roku consciously allowing the channel onto their device.

My only hesitation is giving them a credit card number as alas, none of my card companies offer 1-time use cc numbers and they don't take paypal which goes out of its way to block anything potentially dodgy. If anyone has a workaround to this issue let me know or report back throughout season on how it's working for you.

Shouldn't your CC company protect you from fraud and cancel any unwanted charges. I know mine has in the past

For sure it would. Just would prefer to avoid the hassle of that, having to be super vigilant about charges on my statement for an open-ended amount of time, filling out fraud paperwork is something did go wrong, spending time on customer support, cancelling a card, getting a new one, setting it up again with other services that use it for recurring charges with my consent, then making sure CC company themselves actually did everything they're supposed to. It's kinda like medicine: better to be preventative than get treatment for an acute condition.

But yeah, I admit it's not that big of a deal and for that very reason, I'm still considering it anyway....

That's why I plan on using one of those pre-paid debit cards to sign up

They do take paypal, you'd have to contact ballstreams about it first though I believe.

I noticed they aren't airing the cavs preseason game tonight...curious especially when they promise every preseason and regular season game. Hmm

just too risky to go with an illegal site, because a shut down is always a possibility. You really may not want your credit card info with an illegal service, just not worth the risk if you ask me.

Totally agree. That's why I'll pay with a Greendot card. It'll have my real name on it though, but so what? It's not tied to anything.

If you're really worried you could pay with a b.s. paypal account, or a vanilla (anonymous) prepaid card.

Loved the prepaid visas when the quasi legal Russian mp3 sites existed

I asked about that tonight and got the response i expected.

Hi Ron, Yes - the Cavs game is on a local channel in Ohio tonight, this isn\'t an issue during the regular season

Thanks, I figured as much. I could see how some of these local preseason games aired in unusual locations (Canton) could cause some issues.

Beyond this issue, everything has been running smoothly and as expected.

I think it's more for a basketball fan. I don't really buy they'll have every game. That's the reason for the discounted price. But there's still 3 or 4 games every couple of days. That's a lot of basketball available.
