Greg Oden interview (plans to come back for 2013)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think it's important to keep in mind that one of the supposed perks to Oden signing with us as opposed to Miami for example, was that we could bring him along slowly. Even if he is shown to be healthy, his minutes will probably limited early on to see how he responds to playing at NBA speed. I still like him as a calculated risk, but it could be difficult to juggle having two bigs being brought along slowly due to previous injuries (very different injuries mind you, but still both worthy of attention in their transition back).

EDIT: By saying two bigs brought along slowly, I'm assuming we draft Noel.

I wouldn't be surprised if he just signs with Memphis for a couple million to work in as their 5th big and to hang out with his bff Conley. He could fight Ed Davis and Darrel Arthur for backup minutes and work his way back in. Going forward they could keep him and Gasol in their frontcourt if Greg has proven to stay healthy(extremely unlikely)
