1. Once again we hire a guy who's never done it before to learn on the job.

2. We're asking a 38 yr old, first-time coordinator, who has only coached tight-ends at every level to now lead 25 players, including two of the um stronger personalities in Edwards and Winslow, after a season that can only be characterized as a full implosion.

3. If there was ever a situation begging for a respected veteran coach this is it.

4. The front office's hiring pool is probably severley hamstrung by Crennel's lame-duck, coach-with-no-balls status. (Put me in the camp that believes its better to let your head coach go and start anew than to de-nut him and then ask him to lead.)

5. Chud being hired likely results in the exodus of Davidson and now the need to hire a new OL coach.

I want to believe in Phil. I really do. But this smells bad.

Story

Have to agree here Romeo is basically a lame duck coach going into the season...this team isn't going to go 10-6 or anything and we'll have gone through another...

Well, we have another year wasted here folks. We can ruin a couple more careers, piss some more players off, and scare potential free agents and draftees away in fear. I'm just not going to watch the Browns this year, it will make me less sad.

It's only appropriate, as I believe 2 seasons ago, when they were the worst team in the NFL (or one of them), they beat us, and never looked back.

LT will have his revenge next season... and will break the Madden box curse.

LT is on the cover for 08? He's been one of my favorites long before he got the recognition he deserved...I hope to god he doesn't get hurt...

Browns Chargers Panthers are my teams..

naw they wont put a RB on the cover 2 years in a row. It usually is the best player at the position they upgrade gameplay at...they havent put a WR on it...and they need to upgrade the WR game play...so itll prolly be Santa Moss.

They should opt for Steve Smith instead..

I just figured they put the best player on the cover.

If it's a WR, I bet they put TO on it...

Id prefer Santana Moss...he is a Redskin, an overpayed Redskin at that...and we all know what happens to Madden Cover boys.

Three favorite teams?

Who outside of big football fans knows who Santana Moss is?

He isnt going to sell the game with him being on the cover, they need a household name.

Id probably guess it will be a defensive player.

Grossi is a joke, all the plain dealer sports writers are horrible.

What experienced OC could we have gotten? Knapp? He's not a OC for a reason...Outside of him who else????

Chud is a good hire you guys will see.

Grossi acts like Davidson was a good O-Line coach or something like he is irreplaceable. Dude is probably going to Arizona to be their OC.

They listed a couple of more experienced guys out there..

Not sure..we have rookie coaches trying to teach rookies and guys under 25 and they have no clout..therefor no one buys in and we suck.

See here: "Braylon Edwards"

What do you call being the offensive coordinator at Miami, putting together one of the best offenses in college?

What do you call calling the plays for the last 5 games of the Browns season, a few years ago, under Butch Davis?

What do you call him learning under one of the best in Cam Cameron?

Like someone said, there wasn't a whole lot out there and being that Romeo may be on his way out, the job security isn't pretty good...

See #1 and #2 of my previous post...

As far as Winslow goes... They're good friends and go all the way back to Miami, Winslow will listen to him...

Braylon? He'll be fine once the offense is successful...

There wasn't much out there..

If it means our offense is successful, then so be it...

I never listen to Grossi or any other columnist in the PD... The whole newspaper is TERRIBLE... The only people who are half decent is Dolan and Lesmires...

Those weren't my opinions they were either part of the article or I copied them from someone who had posted the article...

I think if Colts win the superbowl they will get Peyton Manning (I don't believe he has been on the title yet) They will get him because everyone will know him and he will see copies of the games. Santana Moss def. won't.
