GT | Preseason #3| Cavs vs. Hawks | Oct 12

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Diakite and Okoro both foul out. But they played great defense and offense.

Cavs win! Final box score:

Missed this game but y’all are making it sound like one I should watch!

Now let's look at our individual stats.

Starters:
Okoro 16-2-3 with 3 steals in 33 minutes. A great game. 7-9 from the field.
Stevens 0-6-2 in 16 minutes 0-4 from the field. He's had better games
Allen 8-2-3 with 5 blocks and perhaps more with favorable refereeing in 26 minutes. I wonder why his rebound total was so low?
Mitchell 24-8-3 in 34 minutes. On an off-shooting night Mitchell gets 24 points. 6-26
Garland 23-5-12 with 3 steals and a block of Trae Young. in 31 minutes. He was also off shooting, hitting 8-21. Better days are ahead.

Bench:
Diakite - 13-11-1 with 2 steals and a block in 29 minutes. He'd start for some teams
Osman 16-7-2 with a block in 28 minutes. A good backup SF job by Cedi.
Lopez 3-4-2 with a steal in 19 minutes. He got the most minutes yet.
Neto 2-2-2 with a steal in 17 minutes. With a 1-7 from the field, he looked like Nembhard.
Mobley I 0-1-0 in 2 minutes.
Nembhard 0-0-0 in 2 minutes
Hinton 0-1-0 in 2 minutes
Cooper 0-0-0 in 2 minutes

It's always fun to win.

I liked our volume 3 shooting tonight. Most of the looks were open and generated by the defense being spread thin while a good deal of Atlanta's 3s were contested/had a defender's hand in their faces; those are going to fall less and less. Made the score look closer (in the minutes that mattered) than it actually was.

Prob been said in this thread but I was at this game and keyed in on the role players.

Okoro - looked solid but still frustratingly uncoordinated at times. Shot with more confidence.

Cedi - a hot shooting game. He’s hot and cold but I think he keeps his spot as 8/9 guy

Stevens - I don’t see it with this guy. He’s just out of rhythm of the game. Move on.

Neto - Ugh. He’s a third PG for a reason but keep him until Ricky is ready.

RJ - no, just no.

Diakite - holy shit this guy can play. He has length, a nice stroke and is athletic. Have have to keep him.

Lopez - this guy is washed. He’s a bumbling stumbling, slow reflex waste.

Mobley - didn’t have enough touches to show much.
