Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Trading in my used tinfoil hat for a couple skins of kevlar.

The funny thing is when us tinfoilers start preparing for all this shit, we are paranoid. When the govt does it, it's for "training purposes." Thank goodness they raised taxes or this shit might start affecting the deficit!! :chuckles:

The American public handing over their money for the same ammo that will be used to let em know who's boss. Gotta love the irony.

Yes, you are rather paranoid.

When the US Govt does it, it's because they have a military.

While you wait for an ambush as you walk outside to get your mail.

Stating these are for MILITARY use and suggesting it's not a suspicious move to purchase large amounts of hollow point ammunition for the MILITARY is ignorant. Research why and report back. There's two main reasons.

If you want to use that tone it's fine, but don't be wrong.

And for the record...I'm not a prepper and I don't get that whole mentality, but the general mentality of "don't be suspicious of the government," is horrible. Same thing that makes religion awful.

I think you're blurring the lines here a bit while thinking about the military. See, the DHS isn't really "the military" in the traditional WWI/WWII/"protect our country from outside threats" sense. Per the DHS website: "the Department of Homeland Security works in the civilian sphere to protect the United States within, at, and outside its borders. Its stated goal is to prepare for, prevent, and respond to domestic emergencies, particularly terrorism." So, essentially, the DHS is like a newly-created "internal military" that mainly functions to protect our government and people from terrorists. ... The main thing to note here is the use of the word "terrorists." Now add in the fact that the NDAA was passed recently, which allows for U.S. citizens to be detained without due process for suspicion of terrorism, and a bit of grey area starts to appear. Who decides what the threshold is for detaining a citizen? Is there some sort of criteria being used? Can this criteria be changed, or made more strict in the future by a potentially tyrannical government?

Lets connect the dots here:
- DHS is created as a result of 911 as a sort of "internal military" to battle terrorism.
- Financial meltdown of 2007/8 occurs within months of Ben Bernanke/The Fed stating that our economy is fine.
- The Government then bails out the banks (AIG, etc.) while the Fed continues an unprecedented (in the US) run of printing more and more currency, acting as an indirect tax on the American population and effectively paying for the bailouts.
- NDAA is passed, effectively allowing the goverment/DHS to indefinitely detain American citizens without due process for the mere suspicion of them supporting terrorist groups. (link: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/12/21/ndaa-indefinite-detention-bill-rand-paul_n_2347774.html)

To me these pieces are starting to fit together like a puzzle... Weaken the economy, further consolidate wealth, print shit-tons of money to act as an indirect tax and increase inflation (setting the stage for a financial collapse), create an internal military to be funded by tax dollars/printed money from the Fed, slowly remove barriers to constitutional rights/due process through NDAA, institute domestic use of surveillance/military drones, take steps to disarm the population through gun laws pushed by media sensationalism and coverage of mass-murders, buy up the vast majority of ammunition that can be used to fight back... Now, like a cherry on top, manufacture a food shortage through a "dollar crisis" that is directly the result of the Federal Reserve's extreme policies and lack of oversight, and watch all the dominoes fall.

It definitely does seem as though the DHS has shifted from being prepared for anything to flat-out preparing for something specific. Something that is going to take a shit ton (2.3+ Billion rounds and counting) of ammunition reserves to prepare for.
Some links from an old thread I started over a year ago:

FEMA puts in a documented RFI (Request for Info) in January, 2011, for emergency food supplies for around 7 million people. 14 Million meals per day!:

I'm not saying I have all the answers and I'm definitely not saying that everything I read or post is 100% true, but I am saying that, at the very least, there are absolutely preparations being made by the government for a possible or even probable period of social unrest. Scary stuff, indeed.

The military didn't buy these rounds. In fact, it is illegal for these rounds to be used in combat according to international law. The Department of Homeland Security bought these rounds.

Right. Thanks for your input. You have no clue who I am, and you certainly have no idea about how I live my life. I'm not waiting for any ambush. I'm not building bunkers in my backyard. But, I'm plenty aware my rights are being infringed upon and the coinciding legislation this govt keeps secretly passing through, and all the lies they tell to propagate their agenda.

And, no, it's not just because they have a military you condescending little prick. Their reasoning for stockpiling hollow points, in their own words, is to train people. Either they are stupid, lying, or both. You can make that call, but judging by your comments here I wouldn't necessarily put much salt into your answer.

You and RappSoda need to educate yourselves on the subject. I know you thought you were being funny, but you are wrong on numerous points here. First off hollow points mushroom upon impact. These are not the bullets you would use looking to pierce armor. Second, kevlar is not armor anyways. Third, they do make kevlar vests designed to protect against hollow points.

I know you're just trying to bust balls, but come correct, Shocker.

Type IIIA
(.357 SIG; .44 Magnum)

New armor protects against 8.1 g (125 gr) .357 SIG FMJ Flat Nose (FN) bullets at a velocity of 448 m/s ± 9.1 m/s (1470 ft/s ± 30 ft/s) and 15.6 g (240 gr) .44 Magnum Semi Jacketed Hollow Point (SJHP) bullets at a velocity of 436 m/s (1430 ft/s ± 30 ft/s).

HERE COMES THE DHS RV'S...HEAD FOR YOUR BUNKERS!!!!!!!

Fuck it. I'm selling all my stocks at a slight loss. I've got to pay these assholes a bunch of taxes anyways, so it'll give me an excuse to bail on the market without feeling like a total creep.

....ok, fuck it. Sandbags and shovels. I'm bunkerin down :chuckles:

I wonder how many rounds that was there in those boxes. Half a mil maybe? That's a lot of "training" going on there.

I will invite a select few to the bunker I suspect my dad has been building.

He's been building "ponds" in the back of my parents property for a couple years now. Calls it a "Fish Farm" business. I don't buy it.

Does old school rep, good cigars, and hookers get me in? I may even be persuaded to throw in a few night crawlers and a couple ugly sticks so we can fish the ponds while puffing quality Havana's and watching whore's twist on poles. I may even have a bug zapper for effect. We'll just tell em it's a black light.

Joe, you are in. Your additions to the colony will be appreciated.

My dad has a refrigerator of Blatz beer and 15 year old playboys that will complete our preparations.

Your father and I will trade war stories of old Playmates while sampling fine stoges and either cognac or scotch. I will not bring my back issues as they will obviously be repetitive. The whores on poles will grow fond of our stories when whores were just whores, unlike today when whores pretend to be oh so much more. If you're a whore, just be the best damn whore you can be.

We will save the Blatz for a more special occasion, like when X does a fly-by in a drone. Then we will toast. We will toast with Blatz and the whores on poles shall be uncontrollably and inexplicably attracted to this new Blatz toasting phenomenon they have never before witnessed. We shall all be kings in this new fish and whore bountiful colony.
