ok this is sad, the worst team in the league beats indy one night after they blow us out. im sorry but the pacers are NOT an elite team in the east.

Indy is a money team- when they're playing a good team on national TV they'll put out their best effort and play like champs. When they play teams like the Hawks or Bobcats, they tend to coast and get lazy. Big money game- play to win, low money game- play not to lose. It doesn't help us now but at least it puts some distance in there in the division chase. Detroit loses as well- a win against Minnesota would be nice.

Artest didn't play in this one.. Apparently LeBron fouled him hard and he couldn't go tonight.

As we seen last night, he can change a game when he's playing.

Still is no excuse with how bad we played.

Artest hurt on late foul by James
Pacer misses game with wrist injury 1 night after Cavaliers star fouls him in frustration

A late "frustration foul" by Cleveland's LeBron James kept Ron Artest out of the Indiana Pacers' lineup for Friday's game against Atlanta with a right wrist contusion.
James, who was harassed into a 6-for-20 shooting night by Artest, fouled Artest hard in the third quarter of Thursday's game at Conseco Fieldhouse. Artest stayed in the game and finished with 21 points.

"He came down hard, very hard," Artest said. "It was definitely a frustration foul because he didn't go after the ball. Anybody that goes after the ball, the ball is not going to come out (of) my hand. The only way he could really stop me is by going after my wrist.
"The referee made a good call because LeBron said it was no foul. He damn near broke my hand."
X-rays on Artest's wrist were negative, but he's scheduled to undergo an MRI this morning.
"As long as the MRI's OK, I'll definitely play on Sunday (in Los Angeles against the Clippers)," Artest said after Friday's 87-85 loss.

Note to Lebron: Do it in the 1st quarter next time! :chuckles:

haha, i remember this foul very clearly. artest drove to teh basket and lebron tried to strip the ball from artest, and i guess instead of hitting the ball he hit his finger (which to me shows he was going after the ball). Also lebron has turned almost into shaq, as soon as he starts his drive he begins to get fouled or hit in some form whether it is called or not, this is espically teh case if he has open court in front of him. I have no sympathy for artest at all.

The Pacers obviously can get up for good teams and play well but this is their 2nd letdown in the last week or so. They also got blown out by the Bobcats recently. Having 2 losses like that in a short period is pretty inexcusable for a team that's a contender.
At least the Cavs haven't lost yet to a team they should beat. It's nice to beat the teams you should beat. That hasn't always been the case the last couple of years.

f that bastard. he's has numerous injuries on his hands throughout his career. He gets hit in the third quarter and he's calling it flagrant. guess what ron. you missed one of the two throws. good foul then. frustration foul in the third quarter? shut up you dumbazz.

didn't he wack ben wallace out of frustration. f off mutha fcker.

god i whish lebron would take more pride in his d like artest but the more i see from artest the more i think he's just a jackazz. the world revolves around him.

i love it. good foul. we lost the game but indy loses the next game minus artest. wack him again. he can't fight back.

like lebron doesn't get wacked all year long.

when he does it, it's a good foul. when someone else does it, it's wrong.

we should call artest more names. that'll show him how classy we are.

we are an elite team because we have an elite record. teams don't get to five games over 500 in november unless they are an elite team and that describes us to a t.

don't denigrate the hawks just because they are currently one of the worst teams in the league. they have a long tradition in the nba that goes back farther than our does. they have won more nba title and have had more hall of fame players, players like nique wilkins. the change of ownership two years ago messed them up and they are just starting to recover. they are about where we were just before we drafted Lebron. they have harrington and a bevy of other small forward athletic types. a few of them will pan out and match up very nicely with our contingent of Lebron, hughes and marshall.

in the meantime we can kick their behinds.
