Hemorrhoids

It was still bad yesterday. Met with a surgeon today and they removed a lot more of the clot. Got way deeper. One of the numbing shots was very, very close to the hole and....lord do that shit hurt.

But today is the first day I can say it feels like a normal, enflamed hemorrhoid.

As for causes, do you spend a lot of time sitting at work? You already mentioned lifting but I don't think that is the case.

In Army, it was not terribly uncommon for tank crew to get hemorrhoids (I have a really awful story to tell about that if anyone is interested).

It's from sitting in a tank for 16 hours a day, often times in very hot conditions. Sweating can cause rashes and irritation that may trigger issues.

In any event, our senior NCOs always sang the praises of Preparation H etc. Some guys even began bringing inflatable donuts to sit on.
