Q: Hey, Brian: I hear Al Harrington asked to be traded from the Golden State Warriors. Can the Cavs get him? He'd be a great scoring option. -- Frank, Cleveland

A: Hey, Frank: You're right, he's a good scorer. But there's two issues -- and I'm not referring to just whom the Cavs have the Warriors would want. First, this is the third time in his career Harrington has asked to be traded because he's unhappy with his lot. Before, he was unhappy as a Pacer because he was coming off the bench on a 60-win team. Then he was upset as the leading scorer of the Hawks because they were a losing team. Now, he's got issues with his coach. What next? Second, he can be a free agent this off-season and recently hired Dan Fegan to represent him. I'm not sure the Cavs would want to have to deal with Fegan on two potential free agents next summer, Anderson Varejao and Harrington.

Q: Hey, Brian: I read the Cavs might want to trade for Zach Randolph. Is it gonna happen? -- Bradley, San Francisco

A: Hey, Bradley: I guess you never say never on potential trades but I am not sure Randolph is a great fit, although the Knicks would love to dump him for the Cavs' expiring contracts. He was on mostly bad teams in Portland, he's been on bad teams in New York and there's a correlation there. Not only does he have a massive contract but he demands the ball an awful lot and is not a good defender, two things that wouldn't make him fit in with the Cavs.

Q: Hey, Brian: It was great to see Jawad Williams make the team. How much playing time is he going to get? -- Gregg, Lakewood

A: Hey, Gregg: Jawad making the team is a great story and an important stepping stone for him in his career. For the moment, I don't think he's going to get any playing time because I don't think he'll be active for games because of the current makeup of the roster. But the Cavs are impressed with his work ethic and talent and you never know when an injury or other circumstance will give him a chance.

Everybody knows Randolph aint happening.

But Al Harrington...dunno. Dude seems to have a big head. Heard Nelly on ESPN earlier saying "He thinks hes a superstar but hes just a very good player."

In Golden State hes always been more of a SF that plays the 4 because of their run n gun style. BUT what people dont know about him is that Al is a real good low post player when hes given the chance. And hed definitely be given the chance here.

I definitely wouldnt give Wally up for Harrington BUT if some kind of deal for Harrington involving Sasha or something like that would be great.

He aint perfect at all but we need some veteran big men at least for the short term and also he got an expiring contract next year.

If some kinda deal for him could be worked for Sasha, and hes OK with coming off the bench behind Ben (which is what Brown would do) then he could really boost this team's chances.

We have great team chemistry right now. I think Harrington has proven that he is a selfish player who cares more about his own stats than the team's success.

I don't blame Harrington for being frustrated as a backup center... he gets beat up defending centers.

I do blame him for complaining to the media that he is a starter and he would paly better as a starter. When he did start for Nellie, he went off for over 30 points. A few GS fans out here thought that he should start. I wondered why he doesn't try that hard as the sixth man.

He will not be okay with coming off the bench behind Ben. He will not be a good role model for Hickson and Jackson. I feel limited giving a Harrington trade two thumbs down, because I only have two thumbs.

We could use help at the center and shooting guard positions.

So *cough* Vinsanity and Darko *cough*?

I'm still a little salty the Cavs didn't go after Marc Gasol when he slid to the second round. I watched the Griz game on replay this morning... he played Dwight Howard HARD in the paint.

Darko is a frustrating player to watch. He has all the physical gifts in the world, but looks robotic most of his time on the court. He gets pushed and doesn't push back. He carries himself like a confused D-leaguer. Then, out of nowhere, Darko will uncork a 12 foot jump hook, grab a rebound a foot over everyone elses outstretched arms, or block a shot. If Sasha was a center, that is who he would be.

LOL thats a good comparisson and pretty accurate. Sasha wasn't taken 2nd overall in like the deepest draft or one of them in history, but I digress.

Marc Gasol is fat...

He has Moobs and a gut

No thanks. We already have Sasha at that role, We're pretty good.

Darko is a serial killer

We all know it.. We don't want to confront him though.

Since we talkin about random big men that could be on thablock, how bout Sean Williams?

If people are so crazy about getting Vince I'd love to get Williams in a deal. Would be great offesnively and defensively.

I love Sean Williams. I can see him totally being added to a Carter package.

Why would the Nets add anything to a deal with us though? We all know that the Cavs offered Wally for Carter and they turned it down. If anything, we'd need to add a couple draft picks. Unless the deal would be something like Wally + Andy/JJ + 1st rounder for Carter + Williams.

All we need is Sasha to go on a nice run and then it could be Wally + First, plus Count Sucksalot........ ah I mean Pavlosuck. Hopefully they would look at his 2010 expiring and lick their chops at it and that would be enough.

Say what you want about him now... he started his NBA career against Yao and Dwight Howard and held his own. I think that in a month from now people will change their tune.

Again, I'm just saying he was a second round pick, and many Cavs fans wanted us to get into the early second round somehow, including Wine and Gold (if I remember correctly) but it didn't happen.

Yea Gasol is playing pretty well so far, almost averaging a double double.
