How to IMPROVE RCF?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Make an all-Eli thread where people can go in and argue with whatever Eli posts or prove him wrong or whatever. This will cut down a lot of the clutter in the player prospect threads and clean them up and also it will allow Eli to keep posting about certain players over and over again. (Because it doesn’t seem like he is going to be banned anytime soon).

The rules: Eli cannot post in other player prospect threads; everything he posts about player prospects goes in here. (He can however post in all other threads not about player prospects). He can talk about Perry Jones, share his vision, brag about past websites. People will come in to argue with him or for some good comedy. If Eli posts about draft prospects outside of his thread he should be warned, if he does it again, he should be banned. This will keep all the Eli arguments in one place so if you don’t want to read it you don’t have to. For Eli, he can still continue to post whatever he wants, back to back to back Perry Jones rhetoric posts, or just brag about himself. Either way the prospect threads improve, as does the site.

Everybody wins.

Honestly I think Eli is rivaling Jon in his ability to get under people's skin... it remains to be seen whether he has the same rigor in his arguments...

I'm guessing no...

I think it's kind of funny, because he's making a mockery of everyone on sports forums who claims observational expertise even when it conflicts with the actual facts and they have no actual track record, or a questionable one at best. If I was in to trolling message boards, I would have made an Eli persona just to shove that in people's faces.

But I'd rather deal in facts and stats. Stuff that can be examined, refuted, and argued. People who don't like it, generally just don't like having their opinion's second guessed. Why they'd post them on a message board has always baffled me ...

My opinions are expert. I don't want you to ever, ever, EVER second guess them again.

Can't we ban the IP address of this annoying spammer out there so he/she can't keep registering?

Might be a good idea to do what was done last year with the trade deadline threads. Make a separate closed one that only mods use where info, rumors, or anything mods hear can be posted.
The main trade thread gets cluttered with a ton of posts that get impossible to go through and sometimes quality info or posts get lost in all of it.

Why not have things like gamertag and twitter handles in our posting profile? It doesn't clutter things up and you don't have to navigate away from threads to see these tidbits

Taken from another forum I post on to reference what I mean:

2) Make the "quote" function able to embed previously quoted comments, thus having a "three deep" quote ability.

You can enter extra information in your profile (http://realcavsfans.com/profile.php?do=editprofile), which other users can see if they "view profile". You could also put it in your signature. You can send a PM to Ben to ask if it possible (or desired) for RCF to add extra items that would show up alongside every post. I don't think RCF has changed those in years.

why is there not a delete post button? this seems like the most necessary item on any forum

You can edit a post (change to "please delete") and we'll usually see and delete. Just not a feature.

This is for Ben and Glen, but I'd like to add RCF to the Tapatalk mobile app on my iPhone. I love the message board so much, that I take it on the go. I just want to read the unread messages quicker and easier. Here's the site for it: http://www.tapatalk.com/. Please consider my request. I love your forum and site the most of any sites on the internet. Also, if any mods look into this, I would appreciate you to convey it to them as well. Thank you.
