How to IMPROVE RCF?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I can't start a thread in OT because an error says I have exceeded tags by one.

I am not using formatting tags. This is a frustrating error. The last time this happened i just posted in EAYOR.

This happened to me while making game threads. For some reason it defaults your thread title as tags.

Go below the subject section after the error and you should see a box for tags that is populated by your thread title. Delete these tags.

Edit: This is only a problem when the thread title is sufficiently long. I am assuming the title you used was fairly long?

Is there a way to improve the search function? Let's say I put a keyword in this post like TRex, when I go to search it, I can find this post.

Nailed it. Thank you.

Colors schemes.

I'm currently using the blue version. It's a nice alternative to the red. Any chance of a green or other color options in the future?

I know it's been brought up before... but a few media outlets pointed out that RCF was the only Cleveland based sports website to have significant chatter on the browns free agency. Perhaps it's time to expand?

Atleast a subsection similar to the cavs set up. (I.e. Team, Gameday, Trades, and Around the NBA subsections)

Maybe a RealBrownsFans.com? Or RealCLEFans.com so you can keep the RCF moniker.

To accomplish that I would have to bring in another administrator that knew about vbulletin. I'm having a hard enough time just finding time to deal with RCF as it is right now. I'm so far behind on things I want to accomplish that it will take me till the start of next season to finish them all.

With that being said it has crossed our minds.

Well...

*starts penning resume*

So you're saying there's a chance!

How does one get acquainted with vBulletin anyways? I wish I could say that I can help definitively, but that isn't the case.

The Browns part of this forum is pretty good as it is, though. At least during the high points of the season/off-season.

Pretty much the same with me.

I hate tooting my own horn, hate it, but I could have all these sections up in 3 minutes tops.

If we were to expand that is.

I have 10+ years experience in running and managing vBulletin forums. I just don't know if I'd be able to make time for another project right now.

As for suggestions to improve RCF.

The Advanced Forum Statistics mod would be a great plug-in for the site. It's very easy to install and I could help with that.

Any talk of making a new style for the forum?

I love the traffic tracker on the front page Ben! Nice and subtle and yet shows some interesting information.

Surprise Surprise, a huge spike in traffic after last night's Heat game. :shakehead

That's just for the blog. Doesn't show traffic for the forum. I like it too.
