Hue Jackson and Todd Haley Fired

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This is the first time ever that I've been simultaneously excited about what both the Cavs and the Browns are doing.

Really liked Hue in the press conference. Liked Jimmy eating some crow on past hires. Liked Sasha. I think we are going to turn things around, but it's going to be a process. Let's be realistic, we were 3-13...let's get to 6-10, then 8-8, then playoffs.

Apologize if I missed any bulletpoints (Couldn't get it in on the website, so I had to rely on twitter for a little bit), but they're up in the OP of the original coaching search thread, in case anyone needs a recap.

I'm excited the Browns got their guy. I think they liked Adam Gase but they certainly liked Hue Jackson. They went out and got him, good for them.

Hue said all the right things in the presser. NFL talking heads are applauding the hire. I'm satisfied. Now win some f'ing games!

Jimmy had to have gotten that alignment line from Urban Meyer.

Ooooohh... corporate buzz words! Two years ago, "synergy" set the world on fire. Last year it was "robust." Is "alignment" the corporate buzz word for 2016?

Let's fungibly and dynamically evisculate a cross-functional imperative to find out!

@AZ_ Amazing work.

I'm not sure how they pulled it off, but this is a GREAT hire and he'll put together an excellent staff. Now go find our QB...

Can't believe we've gone thus far without talking about the skill players Hue's been fortunate enough to work with..

Patrick Ramsey, Kyle Boller, Joey Harrington, Chris Redman, Jason Campbell, Bruce Gradkowski, Warrick Dunn (at 32), Marcel Reese, Jerious Norwood, Darren McFadden, Michael Bush, Louis Murphy, Denarious Moore, Kevin Boss, Darrius Heyward-Bey....

Well, getting Hue makes me feel a hell of a lot better about our ownership/front office situation. Considering Hue was reportedly in a pretty shitty situation in Oakland, he probably would have not taken this opportunity unless he was 100% certain that we had a stable environment in place. Impressed by Jimmy and company. Hopefully Hue is the one.

Interesting fact, at least to me: three of the four AFC North teams now employ minority coaches (Jackson, Tomlin, Lewis). No other division employs more than one.
