It's not both ways. Notre Dame's schedule isn't weak. Penn St, G Tech, Michigan, USC, and others are very strong. It's not as good as it has been in the past but it's not a joke like Ohio State's is year in and year out. Atleast they tried to get some respect with Texas, but they lost it with Youngstown St.

I have never said its the toughest in the nation, but it is a very good schedule to play and outside of North Carolina, who would steal beat the majority of MAC teams, there isn't any mid-majors or cakes on it for the sake of tradition--Navy/Army etc..

Big Ten is usually a good conference, but there is no doubt THIS YEAR, it is crap.

last i checked, V-Tech wasnt expected to go to any of the BCS Championship games. if you guys choke this year, it will be awful.

Preseason, everyone was predicting OSU would drop at least one game, and probably 2. Hell, even after the Texas victory I remember Herbstreit saying they would not run the table. If OSU ends the regular season with 10 or 11 wins it will be a successful season, not a choke job. You keep saying things like "You better hope you don't lose!" or "Just wait till you lose!" Umm, so? Let's say the Buckeyes drop a game to Michigan and finish 11-1. Is it disappointing that they didn't go undefeated? Sure. Is it a choke or a bad season? Hell no, it's still a good season. The pre-season #1 team almost never wins it all.

Ohio State has a shot at running the table, winning the nattie, and having a great season. If they drop one, they'll still finish top 10 and it will be a good season. At this point (5-0, having beaten Texas, PSU, and Iowa), if they lose two and drop out of the top ten, yeah, that would be bad, but one loss would not be awful.

Nice try though.

Ohio State doesn't play YSU this year. If you want to scan through the history of the program, past and future, pull out poor opponants, and use that to discredit another year's schedule, then no team has ever had a respectable schedule, ND included. You can't say OSU's schedule isn't stout this year b/c of YSU. OSU's schedule is not a joke this year (or other years, but we'll stick to the argument at hand, this year).

You're saying that PSU and Mich are "very strong", AND that the Big Ten is a "2 team conference". What about OSU, the #1 team in the country? They are not "very strong"? You are trying to have it both ways.

Gentlemen please calm down....I the one and only Michigan fan will get this figured out

1st GT is a very good team when Reggie Ball doesnt screw things up...and Calvin Johnson is down right scary good and what ND did against him in the 2nd half is looking more and more impressive

2nd ND schedule is not weak....sorry but when you play Michigan USC PSU GT and even Purdue and Sparty and even Pips pathetic Bruins it is a tough scedule and as Mac said it is not as tough as it usually is but it is tough compaered to others

3rd Big 11 is a tough conference....OSU and Michigan are light years ahead of the rest but teams like Iowa PSU Wisky Purdue Minnesota and possibly Sparty are very tough teams and really provide a good test (trust me I have seen Wisky and Minny back to back and niether team is a joke especially Wisky)

4th as much as it pains me to say so Ohio State is clealy the #1 team in the nation....now OSU completly coasts into Michigan week and they have no tests left absolutly no one to worry about....Ohio State will be undeafeated heading into Michigan

5th Michigan is the number 2 team in the nation right now regardless of what the polls say....I would feel comfortable playing any team in the nation right now and I dont think that any SEC team can amke it through undeafeated and I say that ND beats USC so that gets them out of the way....Michi and OSU will be playing to see who goes tot he title game and whoever wins will win the NC game

6th buckeye fans as much as you dont want to believe AMac...he is right ND is a player....they have a very good team despite being outplayed by Michigan and haveing a bad start against MSU....ND is a 1 loss team and coupld very well be the team that gets tot he NC game to play the winner of MICH VS OSU

I told you guys that this year was going to be fun

George,

I realize you're addressing the whole board, not just me, but I for one have never said ND was a poor team, nor have I said they have a weak schedule. My point is that the Big Ten is not weak, and OSU does not have a weak schedule.

The only reason a couple of us tease that dame fan is because he brings up how week the Big 10 is as well as OSU's schedule. He brings it up all the time, we dont.

I agree with the George....but theBig Ten is weak this year. Northwestern is a dump, losing to DI AA teams. Illinois is garbage. Iowa and PSU are strong teams. Indiana, do they even have a team? Wisconsin....I honestly dont know. MSU has the talent, but the coach admitted he has no control over his players so thats a wash. Minn and Purdue, eh...notch below Iowa and PSU on below average years for them..

This isnt your normal Big Ten conference....the Big ten usually runs about 6 deep and this year its only two teams. A bunch of middle of the roads and a couple of teams that probably couldnt comepete in the MAC.

Iowa and PSU are strong teams, but the Big Ten is a two team league (presumably OSU and UM)? The Big Ten has had better years top to bottom, sure, but it's not a two team league, even by your own admission (about Iowa and PSU).

this guy is like john kerry. the Big Ten is weak when were talking OSU but when were talking about dame its stron.

Strong teams and weaker than normal conference.......hmm..

Two strong teams...solid...is that a better word? Strong to me is just a team that is competitive, can win against soso teams but will lose to good teams.

Is that clear enough?

Your just bitter. Plain and simple.

Sorry Style I wasnt trying to point you out or anyrthing I was just speaking in general thats all

and the B11 is back to OSU and Michigan then everybody else

BUT Iowa PSU Wisky are 3 solid teams

and everyone else is really really disapointing

anyway all we need to know is OSU Michigan and ND all have 3 very solid teams this year with very good chances that one of us ends up in the title game in fact I would almost guarentee that in fact

Notre Dame will not end up in the National Championship game. They won't beat USC. Even if they did beat USC, I see the National championship as the winner of the OSU-Michigan game against Auburn or West Virginia.
