Hey everyone!

I posted this in a theard in the ticket section, but didn't get any answers. Moderators: You can delete my message there, if you want to.

As you can see, I'm from Norway and a huge Cavs fan. I am planning to take around five days in NY, and then go to Cleveland for a couple of days to catch a game or two. If this plan becomes a reality, it will happen in the spring. I'm thinking around easter time.

But I've never been in the States, and need som advices.

Will any of you guys give me some tips regarding cheap hotels in CLE (and NY if you happen to know anything), transport from NY to CLE and how I could get some nice tickets. A trip across the Atlantics isn't something you do too often, therefor I'd like to have good seats, but not the most expensive ones.

I can see there are two games in the easter. San Antonio comes to Cleveland April 5th, and Washington comes April 8th. There are two days in-between; it would be very nice if someone have any ideas for what I can do these days.

The trip will be with one or two friends of mine.

Thanks in advance, I look forward to any advice. Sorry if something was unclear because of grammar or something like that. Let me now!

Nothing is cheap in NYC. But NYC does connect to both Cleveland Hopkins and Akron Canton, which are the two closest airports to Cleveland...

Hotels don't run too much in Cleveland, so you should be ok there.

Stubhub.com is probably the safest bet for Cavs tickets.

Yea Stubhub.com

NY-CLE is quite a long car ride if you plan on driving. You should look into taking a bus. Both cities have taxis so dont worry about that. While your in Cleveland Visit the Science Center and the Rock N Roll hall of fame. While your in NYC, visit times square, WTC site, there is so much to do. I hated NYC though, to crowded and every cab driver is a terrorist.

Bus would take over 11 hours...flying takes an hour and a half.

It's very strange that you brought this up because I am actually right in the middle of planning a trip from Orlando-New York-Cleveland. Wild.

I can tell you that the New York to Cleveland flight wouldn't cost you very much. Like possibly under $100 on Jetblue. I would eliminate driving from NYC to Cleveland from your plans. While you risk getting delayed by plane, you almost assure yourself of a car accident traveling in those states that time of year.

I'd fly if I were you.

Thanks for many useful and helpful answers! But I don't know where I said anything about driving to Cleveland?:p

I'm not familiar with the Q at all, other than what I've seen on 2k8. How is the view from the different sections? The courtside seats are extremely expensive, and they would probably burn a deep hole in my wallet.

I have been to a bunch of Internett sites as ebooker, cheaptickets etc., but I only found tickets from $400. Perhaps those pages aren't that cheap as they'd like you to believe?

Yo No Regard what is your email address, I can email you some information. I tried to PM you but I think you are too new.

Jet blue doesn't fly in or out of cleveland

There are some good bars on the near west side which is really close the Q. If you're going to be there around Easter, you might be able to catch an Indians game too. There's also the Rock Hall, the Science Center, Playhouse Square, other shit that I can't think of right now. You should have plenty to check out in two days.

I'm flying from Akron to NYC in October for $200 round trip.. It's about the same price as gas/tolls from driving..

New York City has a lot more to do then Cleveland, but there are places to go still. I'd spend the bulk of your trip in New York. Nobody has mentioned this yet, so I will. You could probably get a Progressive Field tour. I don't know much information on that though, I'm sure someone else might.
