Plus, I think I have more faith in Shumpert handling the ball over Dellavedova at this point.
I'd rather figure out the chemistry with Shump in the starting lineup now though.I could see the logic in having Shump be a bench player until the ASB. Chemistry seems to be good right now, and I don't know how many minutes they want Shump to play.
Don't get me wrong, he will be the starter at some point. But the 8 day break might be the best time to plug him in.
I don't see this team consistently holding opponents under 40% shooting or anything like that. I think their ceiling is forcing a lot of turnovers despite giving up an above average shooting percentage.
That's certainly the counter argument. We also have a bunch of home games now and begin the 2nd half with a brutal 3 week stretch. Perhaps better to work in Shump during an easy stretch.I'd rather figure out the chemistry with Shump in the starting lineup now though.
Don't underestimate just how much an interior presence like Mozgov helps defensively.I don't see this team consistently holding opponents under 40% shooting or anything like that. I think their ceiling is forcing a lot of turnovers despite giving up an above average shooting percentage.
It's a different sport, but think about that Saints team that won the Super Bowl a while ago. They gave up a disgusting amount of yards each game, but forced a lot of turnovers - enough to give their offense a chance.
Kyrie, Shumpert, LeBron, Marion, and even Smith are pretty solid at picking pockets and/or playing the passing lanes. Knowing they have a guy like Timo behind them should encourage them to do so.
If the Cavs can force 15-20 turnovers every night (yeah, that's a tall task), giving up 45-46% from the field can be manageable.

questionable we will prlly know leading up to tip off hopefully he plays cant wait to see this team finally healthyAnything official regarding Shumpert's status for tonight?
