The ability to play a position still has value. There's a reason you don't see many 22 year old DH-only players. Him not having a clear-cut spot in the field definitely detracts from his value right now.

Man...I would trade every pitcher not named Kluber for a shot at Goldy...talk about a dream fit in the lineup.

He has two years left on an incredibly friendly deal (originally 5 year, 32 mill.).

I'm assuming the thought process is Arizona cashes in at the peak of his value before losing him to the Yankees in 2017?

He's the perfect fit for any lineup. Guy is one of the best hitters in baseball and far and away the most underrated.

It's the Diamondbacks...anything and everything is available, they are one of the weirdest front offices in the league.

It's Arizona, I'd imagine anyone is available for the right price of guys they like.

That organization is pretty psychotic, so really anything is possible. But at this point yes, it's more of a wet dream than anything else.

Trade or bust, there just aren't a ton of power hitters out there.

I'd be happy with someone who can fit nicely into the lineup and is just a good hitter, regardless of power potential.

Preferably the higher they reach, the better. Brandon Belt, AJ Pollack, Goldy, Schwarber

Would be tough to part with Salazar, and Carrasco is certainly too far.

My offer would be something like:

1 of Mike Clevenger, Cody Anderson, Adam Plutko
1 of Yandy Diaz, Giovanny Urshela, Jesus Aguilar, Tyler Naquin
1 of Will Roberts, Shawn Morimondo, Ryan Merritt, Jeff Johnson

Just know that Salazar is going to contend for a Cy Young pitching in that ballpark.
