Adding to the description - when done right the dough is indeed very crispy from the outside, but like pasta from the inside.I've never been to Israel, so it must be for me to have had it.

The dough is crispy on the outside and the cheese or potatoes inside are cheesy and potato-y.
I personally think they're incredible if made right. They're a lot like samosas that are part of Indian cuisine, but smaller.
One of my favorite foods.
It is basically done with a very thin sheet of dough that is being folded again and again - one need great technique to master it, but when done right you will be amazed.
My favorite is with salty cheese mixed with a little bit of potato, served with pickles and seasoned with black pepper - bon appatit!
