It's time. We need to have a serious discussion about officiating. I can't take this anymore.

Another thing I never understand is arnt timeouts supposed to take 60 seconds? I timed a couple the other night that logged in at 3/4 minutes, wtf is that?
 
Too bad the NBA can't find a group of refs who would call the play
according to the action, not the name on the front/back of the
uniform.

And how about calling the games the same way from opening
tip of the preseason to buzzer of the last game of the Finals?

I would favor a level of officiating that allows a greater
degree of physicality and brings back the hand check. Forget
the current pretty boy version of play.

I also hate flopping and would like to see the flopper
assessed a technical foul and give the other team
possession. Call out the bad actors- I mean guys like
Joel.

Finally I favor a higher level for a flagrant 2, but with
the stiffer penalty of ejection from the game and a
one game suspension. You don't have to be a thug
to play good hard physical basketball.

Nba is making harder than it should be and the only fans suffering from this shut of a product are hardcore nba fans. Smh
 
Did anyone catch the insane elimination of the Strus three pointer in Celtics-Heat Game 7 after like four minutes of game time had passed? They just took three points right off the board for the Heat with no warning. It could well have decided the game, and even with replay it was a very borderline inches-type call on being out of bounds.


This is a whole new frontier for officiating insanity, it doesn't delay the game but just all of sudden at any time points could disappear from the board for your team. Crazy making!

Yeah. I'm not saying he wasn't out of bounds, but damn... you can't just wait half a quarter and then suddenly remove the points. Come the fuck on. Meanwhile, the game goes on and all kinds of tactical decisions are made.

The video reffing is getting totally out of hand. Of course everyone wants the officials to be as competent as possible, but the human element you get with live calls is part of the game. You simply have to accept it.

I can't stand "going to the monitor" every 3 minutes.

That game was absolutely fucked. They gave Boston about 20 points
 
Is a spectacle imo you got players falling for minimal contact and constant whining this shit needs to stop. I haven’t watched a single conference finals game and the finals is turning to be another one I’m not going to watch. REFS SHOULD NOT HAVE THIS MUCH CONTROL PERIOD!!!!!!
