James Harden rejects OKC Offer / *Traded* to Rockets

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
he already has 30 with a quarter to go.. Harden seems to have something to prove :D

Houston is gonna have a hard time if Lin and Harden are the only two producing. I'm looking at the 3rd Q play by play and they've scored all but 1 point (Asik made a FT)

Harden is not a sixth man anymore that's for sure. He will be a number one option in the offense and his already impressive numbers will continue to grow. It just wasn't in the cards for OKC to keep him. I think OKC will regret the contract to Westbrook in the future and I think they should have pushed a trade for Rondo when Danny Ainge was willing to trade him early in the season last year at the same time Westbrook was going to sign his extension. Not sure if that would have saved OKC 25 mil but I think it would have been more manageable than what they were dealing with currently.

Bill Simmons emphatically disapproves of the Thunder's decision to trade Harden, he makes some great points.

In the Thunder's case, we only knew that they had three of the 20 best guys in the league, all under 25, all of whom loved playing together. There are no sure things in the NBA, but that previous sentence was about as sure as it gets. Less than 100 hours ago, I thought the Thunder were headed for another Finals and another chance at toppling LeBron and Wade. That's not happening with Jeremy Lamb and Kevin Martin. Instead, they made a different kind of history: becoming the first NBA contender that ever jeopardized multiple titles for financial reasons and financial reasons only. It's never happened before.

They also walked away from the photo that adorns this column, as well as everything I ever thought sports was about. Other than that, the Harden trade wasn't that big of a deal. You want predictions for the 2012-13 season from me? I have two and two only.

1. Miami is going to beat the Lakers in the Finals.

2. Oklahoma City will rue the day it traded James Harden.

thats where Jones comes in when they decide to let him play.

I know its the Pistons, but I called it. The dude is a baller and I have always recognized his talent. He will probably struggle against good teams that know how to focus in on him and can run a good defensive scheme, but his talent and heart is undeniable. He is doing everything for his team tonight.

34-11-5 with limited practice in his system and with his teammates. Still sure he wasn't worth all of that money?

Haha Harden proving everybody wrong. The guy is definitely capable of being a star.

I think having Maynor at the point and trading Westbrook would have been the best thing. You could honestly roll out a starting 5 of Harden, Sefolosha, Durant, Ibaka, Perkins, or move Durant to the 4 and start Ibaka at the 5 with Maynor at point.

Harden>Westbrook any day of the week, and it's not close. OKC is going to regret this one

I really didn't/don't understand the people that said he wasn't an franchise player.

His gonna be the best shooting guard in 2 years. And again, SG is a hard position to fill. Watching him come up has been one the more enjoyable things about the recent NBA history.

Russ is a better athlete and 1on1 defender right now, but Harden is the better basketball player because of his IQ. OKC regrets the move if Ibaka doesn't improve CONSIDERABLY.
