It certainly seems like the smoke is pointing to him heading to UM. Shocking to me because I truly believed he was a guy who would stay in the NFL based on his level of success and competitive nature. Dude was five yards from winning a Super Bowl two years ago and now he's gonna deal with all the bullshit that comes along with being a college coach? Didn't make sense to me.

True, but we very easily could have been out. The Big 12 just fucked up with not having a conference championship game and with scheduling the worst OOC games ever.

Given the situation, OSU was a no brainer for the playoff. But had that situation been with team(s) from another conference, who knows.

One sided rivalries are no fun. Look at Browns Steelers for the last two decades. If Harbaugh lands there you have our generation's Woody-Bo rivalry for the next three years. Just comes down to who blinks/burns out first.

I would say beating Michigan and landing a top bowl game every year is fun. I'll take my chances with the Ohio State/Michigan rivalry continuing to die.
