JBB only gave Merrill and Levert the first half minutes that lead to cutting the 18 pt. deficit to 10 because of the foul troubles of Struss and Garland.
This is similar to injuries forcing the 18-2 record when Garland and Mobley were mostly out.
JBB is not the reason we won game 7. I think more than half of the nba coaches would do a better job. I look forward to the day JBB is gone.
But, what really counts is will Dom re-sign and does he want JBB.
It is worth putting up with JBB if that is what Dom wants.

LeVert got the same first half sift he’s gotten pretty much every game this season. It was only game 6 when he was awful in his first half stint that the coach defaulted and didn’t bring him back in to play the second half.

But acting like it was only necessity that caused LeVert to get a first half shift in game 7 is just not accurate in any way.

Sam, that’s a more fair suggestion, although he did get a first half shift in games 1, 3, 4, and 5 as well.

That’s not a defense or coaching choices, it’s using season and series long data too seperate fact/patterns from narratives

First of all, where are these people saying what you’re claiming? (And no, Pip’s mostly enjoyable schtick/trolling does not count)

Second, who says ORL is a dogshit team. They were the 5 seed. We were the 4th seed. This wasn’t some juggernaut 1 or 2 seed playing a David that won in from the Play In bracket.

There are people so scared of JBB returning that they get all worked up by any nuanced discussion about coaching on a game by game basis as if an earned compliment or acknowledgement paid here or there on this board has any affect on what the Cavs briantrust will do. That is out of all of our hands

Cavs were 15th in SRS and Magic were 16th. Good chance it was two pretty mediocre teams
