Josh Smith Cut

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'd take him if he comes cheap, but I don't know how I feel about Waiters and Smith both coming off the bench together....

No way with Smith. If SVG couldnt control him there is zero chance he respects Blatt.

I see him going to Spurs. Help them so much if he played their system.

For the Cavs he might be a good fit just for defense, but agree might be to much of a head case .

The question wouldn't be if Blatt could get through to him...the question is could LeBron?

I do not particularly want Josh Smith in the Wine and Gold, but this would absolutely be one of the better situations for him to get on track.

It's obvious. You trade Dion for a big and pick up smith.
You get the 6th man chucker in Smith and you get your rim protector.
But them on the same team, god no.

What if we picked Smith, to simply try the experiment out. What's to lose? Our chemistry isn't in tact yet, and it could be a short rental until the deadline.

The Cavaliers have a limited amount assets to play with.

If it's the trade deadline and we're assembling 3-team trades, you have to think somebody would value getting Josh Smith back in a trade.

Or you dump both Waiters and Josh Smith on Vivek.

While you're there, go for the ultimate pilfer; trade every asset we have til 2025 and somehow get Boogie on this team. We need to start a rumor that Big Cuz is bangin that fine daughter of his. Boogie would kamikaze himself out of that situation.

It might take time to gel, but if we had Kyrie,LBJ, Boogie, Love..... not one, not two, not three.....

But my premise: picking him up as an asset/trial. Is he still being paid the same, it's just that Detroit gets to pay less per year to unfuck themselves?

Twitter is saying Kings, Mavericks, and maybe Houston interested in signing Smith as a free agent.

Were are having enough getting Dion with the program...you really want to add Josh Smith, who is farther gone, to make things really volatile? No, he is talented, but not what we need at all.

How, after just going through this with Bynum, can this still be a question? There's plenty to lose.

That and Josh Smith doesn't even come close to fitting this team.

Do not want Josh Smith at all.

Wonder if he'd go back to Atlanta. Or if they'd even take him back.

For anyone saying we should go after Smith, have you watched Detroit for the past two years? This is one of the lowest IQ players in the NBA who happens to play decent individual defense. His shot selection and team defense are atrocious. I wouldn't touch him with a ten-foot pole.

But I'd definitely pay money to see Josh Smith on the team that leads the league in three point attempts by nearly seven attempts (Houston).
