JR Smith

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Jr broke the hawks heart last night. There's nothing worse than s guy that just can't miss especially when its from three.

So glad that ray Allen decided to not play this year. The cavs might not have gone after a Jr smith. Jr is twice the player ray Allen is at this point. Better defender, can hit an higher number of threes than even ray and has more passion and driven then the old ray.

Best thing about JR Swish is when he starts drilling crazy shots you can see the opposing team and their fans just sigh and put their heads down because they know what's coming.

It's gotta be deflating as hell.

On the opposite end of that spectrum, I fully expect every shot he takes to find its way through the hoop, and it's thrilling as hell.

About half-way through his personal tirade on the Hawks, every time he had the ball I just had my hands on my face and saying "no way he is gonna do it again". Well, he did it many more times. Went nuts when he got Korver to bite on the 3pt line, and drove in for a alley oop to Tristan. Lebron said the other day there is no better feeling than silencing a home crowd, and last night, JR Smith gave the pipe to everyone in Philips Arena and sent them to bed.

I love this damn team.

I can see JR on teams not as good getting into shot-selection problems and having issues with coaches.

The way Blatt is talking about him it is pretty clear he is telling JR I want you to go out there and be the gangster you are. I'm not sure not only if he was that motivated in other stops , but felt as comfortable and supported as he is on this team.

Is there a chance that we will keep Swish and Shump for the next year?

I'd say there's more than a chance. Smith can leave if he really wants to (which doesn't sound like it's the case...the desire for him to be back next year seems mutual), but Shumpert is restricted. The only thing that would keep us from retaining him is someone massively overpaying him, and even then Gilbert might just open his checkbook.

I'd say, right now, there's a 90% chance both are back.

If we can bring back those two, and keep the rest of our rotation players around, our team is going to be really good next year. favorites to win it all IMO. In terms of experience, it does not get much better than this. The playoffs this year have tested our young guys way more then I thought possible. They weren't even given a chance to sit back and soak it all in. Once Love went down, they were all thrown into the fire. I think this post season has been a coming out party for Delly, TT, and Shump in particular. Bring those 3, Smith, Mozgov and a healthy big 3 back and the league better watch out. We may even have a healthy Andy, which would give us an excellent big man rotation.

That leaves just finding a couple end of the rotation guys to take over for Miller, Marion, and Jones. Even if we get to the finals and get stomped by the Warriors, this season has been a resounding success all things considered.
