JR Smith

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Good JR tonight.

This game also highlighted why he is such a good catch-and-shoot player. He is a nutcase but when he doesn't have too much time to think, he is a good shooter. The only one apart from LeBron tonight, who can leave Phoenix with his head held high.

Why did we go away from ahot JR... he should have got the ball

Kept the game from being a blowout tonight.

8 threes is serious business. He played his ass off.

Shoutout to Smith. His shots aren't selfish theyre just difficult shots. All the media feeds you about him is hes a selfish goofy chucker. Hes been nothing but good for this team imo

He doesn't disappear

He may shoot bad shots or miss but hes good for a couple timely shots to start a run and isnt a dummy on the court and doesn't sulk too much

JR Smith seems consistent in how (in)consistent he is. You can ride him when he is on and bench him when he isn't.

Great game tonight. I don't feel bad about the trade thus far.

JR's played 4 games with us (I believe?) and he's already put in 2 performances that have proven bigger than the production given to us by any other player on the entire roster not named LeBron, Kyrie or Kevin.

Obviously he's been historically recognized as a chucker, but so far I've seen a willing passer, a great shooter of the ball who looks to get his shots off at the right times and a decent teammate. Just hope he can keep up this level of play for the rest of the season and not regress into an early-shot-clock, selfishly unreliable and self-damaging jump shooter.

Really though, you guys will hate his ass in about two months. His shot selection has been atrocious in all three games. Just wait for it.... Wait for it...

Yeah, but we knew who he was coming in. We basically swapped Dion for a somewhat more consistent version of Dion while maintaining the potential for awesome post-game interviews.

I'll be interested to see what happens when we get Shumpert back and JR moves to the bench.

I'll tell you one thing that's obvious.

At least in the short term, JR Smith is a huge upgrade over Waiters.

Put me in that camp.

Yes, he takes ill advised 3's at times, but this guy can shoot. So you have to live with that.

Still an upgrade over Waiters IMO.

To say he's not an upgrade is ridiculous at this point. He has a far more polished offensive game, same chucking tendencies but he is mentally stronger, more experienced, and has the catch and shoot ability that this team needs. Playing next to Lebron will do him even more good. He spent the majority of his career alongside of Melo who clearly doesn't make those around him better.

He's more gifted than Waiters, obviously. I guess if you simply assume Waiters will always be a headcase then you might as well take the headcase with more ability.

JR>>>>>>>>>>>>Dion

So glad that piece of shit is off our team. "Upside" lol -- that's all he ever had was some invisible "future" potential. In reality, he was just a mediocre 2 with poor shot selection who got hot once in a while. At least JR admits what he is, and plays his role. Dion is a worse version of JR, who thinks he can be a superstar.
