JR Smith

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
since lebron has come back hes been averaging 2.8 assists per 0.8 turnovers

That source of production coming from a guy who is primarily a catch and shoot player is great

when people over commit because of his shooting , the ball gets swung and an open shot appears, a la the spurs

I was more hopeful then a lot of posters on JR just because of his catch and shoot jumpers but damn was not expecting this kind of player.
He's not only playing as well as he did when he won 6th man of the year but frankly better. His catch and shoot ability fits in perfectly with the other Big 3, he passes the ball well (probably our best post entry feeder), and doesn't get in the way otherwise. Not a great defender but he's athletic enough that he's just not going to get totally burnt.

Mozgov was clearly the center piece of the trade but we kind of pulled of a mini-Rasheed trade with JR. Taking a talented headcase who had worn out of his welcome and putting him in the right situation suddenly gets you a piece which completes the puzzle. Dion was supposed to make that leap into as the #4 guy who was good enough to be a top 3 player on other teams but instead we just traded for one. Wonder how depressed the league would have been with the Cavs not only adding Lebron and KLove but also a Danny Green type of shooter at the SG on top of that to complement them
While the JR trade can be likened to a mini-Rasheed trade in the reformed attitude department, the Mozgov trade is looking like the Rasheed trade in how it's transformed the Cavaliers into a well oiled machine nobody wants to face come playoff time.

Not good you guys. I think we all know what this means…

Honestly, this says a whole lot of good about this entire team. You've got two guys who are often competing against each other for minutes, yet JR is just thrilled for Delly's success and excited to show his Australian teammate a good time.

The internal vibe on this team smacks of what is seen with champions.

Plot twist: Delly shows JR how to party (JR doesn't know what he's in for)... Delly is that kid you see at school that dresses nice and gets good grades and then you see him at a party snorting coke and hammered. :chuckle:

Delly is gonna have JR shotgunning Foster's left and right.

Oh I think after enough JR Smith-style partying Delly will no longer be in any shape to take JR's minutes. That's if the league doesn't suspend him after JR leaks all the photos out.

Well that settles it. Delly is the Michael Cera of this team.

I get the "This Is The End" reference and all, but please don't ever compare anyone that wears a Cavs jersey to Michael Cera a.k.a. the worst actor ever a.k.a. the only awful actor in Arrested Development.

I loved when the host asked him like the best thing about the night and he said something like his model he got to walk with and when she asked him if he was going to take her home he was like my mom is in the audience but turned to her and said they will discuss it later.

He banged her.
