I can't say definitively on Greg Little yet, but he has shown improvement in recent weeks. Its too early to say though.
A second rounder, I expect a decent return on investment. He had a good first year, but his sophomore slump has hindered the team greatly. We will see if he bounces back, but if he's off the team in a few years I'll be calling him a bust.
Colt McCoy, on the other hand, is a top of the line back up quarterback. And that can be an extremely valuable position. A Charlie Batch type comes to mind. Sometimes during Super Bowl runs your quarterback gets knocked out and you need someone to step in who can manage the game and grind it out to a victory. Those games can be critical in playoff seeding. McCoy is probably the best options for a back up QB in the league right now, and is the reason a lot of teams have shown interest in him.
A third round pick for a backup QB? You can get a quality backup QB in FA. That's how the stools got Batch.
Oh come on, unless you're a total moron you know that stats don't tell the whole story. Like that little stat that the Browns lead the NFL in dropped passes.
To be fair some of the dropped passes are on the QB.
Find me a gm that has hit on every pick he's made.I'll wait here.
If you read the quote, I was responding to it was about Heckerts draft. I don't think we can fairly assess little not being a 'flop' and McCoy is McCoy. You spent a third round pick on him. Was he worth it at this point? IMHO... no!
