I still can't believe JBB survived that blunder.

This is also why so many coaches continue to play old vets regardless of how many fans scream to see the young talent on the floor.
One thing I've continually noted now in postseason play -- it's the vets who thrive.

Young talent gets developed in the regular season. But none of the NBA's greatest -- MJ, LeBron, even the current "it guy" Jokic -- won their titles until they were vets. Postseason is when the vets take over and the young talent has to take time to learn.

Actually, let me not count Jokic's title to him yet. Miami might have other ideas.

I think there was a promise that they would start Klove when they signed him, and benching him in the Celtics series kind of went against that, so maybe there was more going on with the apology than the usual rotation decisions here.

Or it could be that Boston was a bad matchup for Kevin and Denver not so much, or that maybe Kevin really needed 10 days off to shake off the aches and pains of playing on crappy knees.

Both. Heat water is different from Cavs water, and obviously vice-versa.

I’m not sure I follow. When I said it starts from the top down with Riley that is what I meant. Their F.O. and coaching staff approach is different than most every team in the league, including Cleveland. That’s why I said the water is different down there.

They didn’t tolerate LeBron doing the same stuff he did here just as they didn’t let Jimmy pull the same stunts he did in Chicago with Wade, alienating half of the team. It may result in public blow ups like sideline altercations with Spo, but at the end of the day everyone is bought in and moving in one direction. I dislike the Heat but I’m certainly impressed with how they handle personalities and hold everyone accountable.

I don't think it was anything special in terms of player relations, but rather the leverage they had over LBJ and their willingness to use it. And a great tactical coach who gained respect because he was so good.

Dude has been putting it in the wrong hole for awhile now..

Having a kid during the NBA Finals in June is just reckless..

How about you stop worrying about Lil Kev and start worrying about getting some double doubles….
