It is, but again I really can't find anybody that you can say is clearly better than him outside of two guys.
I agree, he's in the discussion. However; so are Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, James Harden, Dwight Howard, Steph Curry, LaMarcus Aldridge, Marc Gasol, and even Chris Bosh. All of these guys have their drawbacks...but the order is tough to rank.

You forgot Melo.

The funny thing is if my time frame was only a year I'd probably take both Duncan and Dirk over all these guys :)

Love is better than Harden,Melo,Griffin,Bosh, and Aldridge for sure IMO.. Paul and to an extent Marc Gasol just for his defense I could see argues.. I think Gasol is greatly underrated by the casual NBA fan.. Love is a superstar though IMO.. if anyone considers Melo a superstar or Griffin they better damn well consider Love one

Someone said Melo as well and I would also say Anthony Davis. He will show that he is a top 5 player this year. Not trying to discredit Kevin Love but it is hard for me to say that he is a top 5 player without a doubt..and that is okay...we are LOADED and I don't care if a guy is top 5 or 10 or 15.

Shoot I completely agree. My bad, forgot both of them.

Anthony Davis is an excellent player but projecting him where he will be and where he is now is totally different. Right now kevin love is a better basketball player. Davis gets you the sexy blocks and can cover a lot of ground and erase mistakes but bigger and more skilled post players can take advantage of him on the block. Speaking of the block he needs to ditch that ugly push shot when he attempts to post up on the right block. That either needs to be a left handed hook shot or a step back jumper.

Melo... well he had a career year last year and he still wasn't as good as love.

Chris Paul is the one guy I can think of that you can make an argument for.

Why does someone have to be clearly better to be rated ahead of him? After the top 2, the way I see it, it's a wash between the next 6 or 7 guys, and he's one of those guys.

I can go along with that. Me personally I have him higher because I value more what he brings to the table. In terms of fit I don't think you can find a better combination of talent/fit when you have LeBron on your roster.

The problem with ranking players at the moment is none of the next 6 or 7 guys have won a title. Hell, only two of them have even reached the Finals (Durant and Westbrook). But Love, Griffin, Paul, Curry and Harden haven't even reached a Conference Finals, so it makes it hard to rate the players. If one of those guys had a title, I'd have no trouble rating them ahead of the rest.

That said, I do agree with posters above. I think Davis becomes the 3rd best player this season.

Really like how love handled himself responding to Taylor.

Um...

(I know what you're saying, though)

Taylor's comments will only motivate Love even more to raise his game to another level. Love, Kyrie, Dion will all play solid defense next year and will be ready to be major key contributors in the playoffs.

Went and watched Waiters and Irvings highlights from last year for the 3rd or 4th time. Love can't get here soon enough. Watching Tristan's man just sit in the paint kills me every time. It makes Irving and Waiters life miserable shooting over their man and TT's.
