I've been blown away by K Love. This guy is a machine on the boards, literally one of the best passers I've seen for his position, and has a lethal inside/outside game that makes him a matchup nightmare. Defensively he works his ass off- the accusations that we heard about him coming into the year have not materialized in any way.

Loves presence is allowing Andy and TT to do what they do best. You simply can't clog the paint with him in the game.

I wish they could max his contract right now. And he's only 25: barring injuries he'll be doing this at an elite level for at least five more years.

I don't think I remember seeing any other NBA player legitimately boxing out (find your guy, pin him behind you, then grab the board) like you're taught.

Love does this on almost every possession and honestly, that's what makes him such a dominant rebounder. He's so fundamentally sound & does all the right things.

Best sign about the CHI game was Love's shot was off, but he still contributed in other areas - huge on the glass, made his presence felt defensively, passing game - that's the sign of an elite player, a guy who can impact the game in many ways even when the offense might not be there. Also his physical style, love it and bodes well for the playoffs. I love his potential to anchor the post game for us also.

To nitpick the only thing I'd like to see is him actually JUMP to contest shots in the paint. Maybe this is harsh but I've watched closely and at least on the eye test it seems he is planted in the ground when guys come down the lane. His team defense has been solid and he has taken a few charges, it's not a question of being in position. I think his first focus is on rebounding position but at times it comes at the expense of contesting shots IMHO.

Kevin Love is fantastic. His floor game is incredible and he always seems to be at the right place at the right time.

I watched him 4-5 times a year on league pass but never fully realized just how well rounded his game is. He is truly a stud. One outstanding thing worth noting is that his defense has been far better than what I saw in the past. This just comes down to effort. He made 5-6 really strong and quick rotations last night that were exactly on point. I have 100% confidence he can be at least a decent defender if not above average while on a winning team.

He impacts the game in so many ways, this team is just really something to watch after suffering through the hell of the last 4 years, and Kevin Love is a big reason why.

I had suspicions that his defense is underrated, white guy bias holds strong.

This team will be a GOAT level rebounding team. No team that good in rebounding can be below average in defense as rebounding is a big part of defense.

Absolutely right about that. Another fundamental thing he does, is he keeps his head up once he controls the rebound. He's looking down court, and he's shown good restraint whether to throw the outlet or not. He's looking to make the outlet pass at all times, thus he's gotten really good at judging whether the play is there or not.

For the insane amount of rebounds Tristan corralled in, I was completely unaware that Love had 14 rebounds in the game. Love was getting violated all game, he was seriously taking some beating and getting no calls.

It would not surprise me at all if Love ends up being the league MVP. That's if the Cavs win the title.

I think the biggest part of Love's game that no one really ever mentions is his strength. I mentioned it earlier, and only in passing, but he is kind of freakishly strong. The way he rips the rebounds out of other player's hands, the way he stands his ground on defense *at times* and the way he can back guys down is incredible.

Love might actually be one of the strongest players in the NBA in that regard.

He's an underrated athlete: his vertical coming out of college when he was umm fat was 35 and he ran the sprint in 11.17. To give a comparison his sprint times were better then athletes like McGee, DeAndre Jordan and Beasley the same year and I think his max vert is the same as Tristan put up. Considering into the combine he came in close to 13% body fat - I bet his numbers would look even more impressive if they reran the same workouts after he has shed nearly all the fat. Plus, none of these tests measure lower body strength and Love has some Charles Oakley like legs - just can't move him down there.

you were unaware because he had 16...lol.. just messing with ya Frank.. Love is a stud..I've preached since before LeBron made his announcement.. anyone not wanting to deal Wiggins for him was insane.. he and Kyrie with even a 34-35 yr old LeBron can dominate this league 5-6 years from now

I honestly think he has been getting a lot of garbage buckets and we haven't run elegant sets for him or really worked on the two man game with him and Kyrie/bron. If they get us even a semblance of movement and have big guys trying to chase the dribbler 25 feet from the basket with Andy/TT lying in wait by the basket for a board and shooters or slashers waiting for the wide open feed.... How can you defend that or gameplan?

We haven't shot the three well or in high numbers in the regular season thus far (in stark contrast with the preseason), but if we get guys wide open looks we will go on 15 point runs and I don't even think it will bron/klove doing the scoring. We should one of the top 3 point teams in the league. Guys aren't respecting our shooters enough though...yet. With a rim protector and a 3 and D trade, the team would be complete. In a nutshell, if we got Mozgov and Courtney lee or equivalents it would be over. Much must happen to reach that state of depth, but watching the team, I think we need to go for that route and maybe play dion more to help him grow into that role and see if we have a 3-D guy on our hands already.

Can't wait to see a bench guy get hot from range and see how a team tries to defend us.

Cant wait till the guys learn how to use him and learn what his spots are.

Im not gonna lie tho, I know its not in the flow of the offense but it irks me when he has his man pinned deep and he doesn't get the ball.

If I were the coach id be like break your neck to give him the ball if you have to.

That's especially true given his BBIQ and passing ability. If he gets position down low, it's either an easy bucket for him, or a quick pass to someone else when the defense collapses on him.

The ONLY issue this team has right now is chemistry and that will come in time (I have to remind myself of that everyday). When Love has his man pinned under the basket they need to find him. His game is so pretty to watch. He just always seems to be in the right place at the right time, never gets too high or too low, says all of the right things and most importantly, he plays with purpose. This is going to be a fun year.
