I have really liked Love's game, he fits in well and gives a threat at the PF spot that we have not seen in a lot of years.

Unfortunately his rim protecting "defense" has been as weak as advertised.

Really good to see him have a great shooting night, even better to see our offensive players setting him up (drawing defense away from love then swinging it back to him at the 3 pt line). He just needs to give up less on the defensive end. Maybe foul the 6' 180 lb combo guard waltzing into the lane.

I don't quite understand why Love looks lost in the post. I was happy to see them make the effort to give him the ball down there though. But AD and Asiks will make life tough on everyone down there- those two are a freaking load.

love struggled in the first but DAMN did he come out shooting in the third and fourth. Absolutely love his game.

Here we go again..as soon as Cleveland gets a force together, national media wants guys to go elsewhere.
They did it unrelentlessly when James here and now they're doing it with Love.
Glad I'm not a player, I'd call out these beat writers and tell them they're wrong, and go write about someone on another team.

?

Yesterday was the Kevin Love we thought we had. This year is clearly an adjustment for him and everyone else, in terms of scheme, new coaching, playing with other players, including star players, playing defense and playing with a target on your back, both from other teams and the national media.

Glad to see his game return yesterday. He was instrumental in erasing that nagging seven point or so deficit that seemed we could not overcome.

Would like to see more post options for him so that he is not relegated to only being a shooter.

It also seems like teams are adjusting to his passing as those outlets are not are open as they once were.

I think once this team gets more confident playing together and feels less pressure to win, the team will relax and regain their shooting touch, as they did in the second half.

Now we need Miller to join in.

I want him to pass out of the post if it isn't there. He is damn good at drawing fouls, but that can really take a team out of rhythm sometimes. It also seems like a lot of his fouls are throwing the ball at the rim or jumping into a defender. I am not a fan of that. It isn't like he has a chance to make it. I'd prefer to see him pass it out to improve spacing.

Kyrie hasn't had a single offensive foul in the past 4 1/2 games.

edit: never mind, I read that wrong, thought I was in the other thread.

Sorry, I meant Kevin Love actually without naming him in my post. I am not claiming he is getting offensive fouls either. He usually gets the benefit of the doubt. It is probably an unpopular stance i am taking wishing Love would rather toss the ball to the perimeter rather than jumping into the defender and getting the call, but I feel like it would help the spacing which should be better than it is now.

It is an extremely minor quibble to be sure. I am not a fan of that Harden style tho of drawing the foul whenever possible. I think it takes your team out of the game sometimes when you are humming. I don't mind it as much when the other team is on a run and it takes them out of rhythm. It's a timing thing with me.

it's pretty much always good to draw fouls. Especially for a team who is leading the league in FT%.

Hey people were probably saying the same thing last year about LeBron rejoining the Cavs, anything could happen. If Love were to leave the Cavs and Wiggins turns out to be a stud you might as well delete this forum.

It ain't happening.. there isn't going to be a big 3 in LA.. they are going to suck and will continue to suck
