He said after the Heisman Trophy ceremony that no matter what pick the Cleveland Browns get that they should not pass on Troy Smith!

no....it would be stupid to pick him in the first round let alone the top 10 picks or so

I dont even wanna think about Troy until the 3 or 4th round at the very earliest

Does that have to do with Michigan bias or is it you don't think he is a good player?

Because honestly I'd pick this guy in the 2nd round or trade up to get him in the late 1st round..

This guy is a Michael Vick type player.. He's got a cannon arm, he's just as athletic and is a game changer.. But he is an even more dangerous passer with way better accuracy... So I ask this, why isn't Troy Smith considered a Top 10 pick?

and look what Mike Vick has done.....not much other than give us some high light reel runs and Troy Smith is no where near the athlete that Mike Vick is

he is a 5'11 quaterback....that is not a recipe for success

im a Troy Smith believer trust me....he has killed me 3 times in a row I know exactly how good he is..It has nothing to do with any bias at all and I believe some rational OSU fans (thats kind of an oxy moron )can back me up on this.....as for my PROFESSIONAL team....no thanx unless we get him late

He said dont be the texans and pass up on bush!!!I think it would be cool to have troy.

I know this is a crazy idea... but why not actually build up a team around a QB rather than keep tossing QBs out there behind a mediocre line? Draft OL and DL and if Frye/Anderson don't progress, maybe look for a QB next year. Do Browns fans not learn anything??? For a team to succeed, the QB should be the final piece, not the first.

That's really not a ringing endorsement..

I think the Browns are going to be more inclined to bring in a veteran QB during the offseason. One that might not be a starter, but, one that can show them some things about game preparation and film study.

we need OL before any QB will succeed in Cleveland.....

although I am illing to bet Jake Plummer is available this summer....not that he is all that great

Just answer me this..

When Michael Vick is successful throwing the ball, doesn't he look like a whole different QB? And for that matter, a very good QB?

I agree no doubt George.. That's why I said, I'd take him in the late first round or early second round..

We could pick up some offensive line in FA, which could eliminate the need in the draft...

When Sasha Pavlovic is successful shooting the ball, doesnt he look like a whole different SF?

When Ron Artest isnt acting like an ignorant, classless moron doesn't he look like a good team guy?

When Dennis Northcutt is catching passes, doesnt he look like a whole different WR?

:chuckles:
