I'm just enjoying all the change in attitude about Kyrie. After he was drafted, it was all "he'll be a good player but never great" etc etc. Now, the guy is going to be Chris Paul on steroids without the knee injuries.

I for one said Kyrie would be a stud from day one. And TT still sucks a fat one.

I also said he'd be great. You'd have felt the same way if you'd have had dinner with him and his mother. Wonderful people. She's very down to earth too...

No, just don't believe in the "only acquire players 6'10 or under" philosophy that Chris Grant seems to live by.

Meh. He's only 19 he could potentially grow. A lot of prospect PFs are 6'9; not to mention he does have the wing span and hops to make up for the inch.

You know, I took Shabazz Muhammed out to dinner the other day. Real nice kid. Doesn't seem like he's real bright, but when you get him on the subject of basketball, he's like a freaking scientist. Really want the #1 in 2013 to add Shabazz.

With a name like Shabazz the kid is destined to be a star.

Yeah, six feet.

Yeah, six feet.

We know, she's dead. You must understand that Kyrie is so amazing, he can astrally project his deceased mother into a physical form with extreme concentration. The amazing thing is that he can do this and still have a wonderful dinner conversation. Just... wow.

Wait a second...

I'm starting to get the feeling this kid was bullshitting me. I haven't watched any Cavs games yet this season...

Is this not Kyrie Irving below?

And is this not his parents below?

Who the hell did I spend $488 on that evening at Bern's Steakhouse in Tampa?

You act like Tristan Thompson;s height is a detriment out there. It really isn't. He has the presence of a real big on the court during games and as he gains muscle he's going to be a load especially with those arms.

We'll see. I don't think he fills out enough.

I don't really think 6'9 is undersized for a PF nowadays...

Kendrick Perkins seems to do okay as a 6'9 center...granted he has a few more pounds on him than TT. If TT can bulk up into the 240-250 lb range then I think he can play minutes at C. Keep him close to the bucket for blocks/rebounds.

there are 13 centers in the nba at 7 foot who start

Fact. Also . . .

There are 11 6 foot 11 inch centers that start.
There are 4 6 Foot 10 inch centers that start.
There is 1 6 foot 9 inch center that starts.
There is 1 6 foot 8 inch center that starts.

None are named Kyrie Irving.

I can bing too. :D

Re: Kyrie Irving (LHLD)

It was nice to see Kyrie show that range elite shooting stroke today. As he gets in better shape he's going to have a way easier time finishing at the basket, which has always been a strength for him. Another positive for him as a point guard is that he understands and executes the hockey assist very often. It won't show up in the stat sheet but he initiates a LOT more offense and creates a lot of good shots with early precise passes than he gets credit for.
