As realcavsfans posted in his twitter account I will not be satisfied until I see him on the court. Dont believe the CAVS PR dept in relation to injury and certainly dont believe the player who has not necessarily always been the most forthright in his interactions with the media.

Do you guys think he will play Saturday against Miami?

If it wasn't an obvious injury in practice or something the Cavs spoke at after practice, why would any of the best guys have anything on it.

How many of them are actually going to Rio to cover the game and of those how many are down there already. For budget reasons I imagine not all of them are going to be there the entire length of time the Cavs are there?(although I think Lloyd is there already)

If this is truly minor, Cavs just probably wanted to keep a lid on it. Hopefully the boot is a precaution just to help and be preventive with the amount of walking and travel in trip. Sounds like Windy just got lucky and ran into Kyrie and saw the boot in passing. Once he put it out,the Cavs went to The Bullshit Whisperer for their unofficial press release(like they did with the Ray Allen non news yesterday) to make sure the speculation didn't get to out of hand.

How terrible it takes them a day later to say anything. Windy just embarrassed our local coverage once again.

Well, they (the Cavs) probably thought it was a non-issue until Windhorst posted about it on Twitter and freaked everyone out, which prompted them to action.

As others have said, really poor reporting by Windy. He ran into the Cavs, saw Kyrie in a boot, and didn't think to ask him what was wrong? Or worse, he did and just didn't report it to be a dick?

You're assuming he has this unlimited access to players and he can just run up to them anytime and ask them questions.

A reporters job is to report what he sees or hears not toe the line. Windy did his job. Our beat reporters I am not so sure.

So you're telling me that, if you were one of the most prominent NBA reporters in the business and you ran into Kyrie Irving in a walking boot when no one knew he was hurt, you wouldn't ask him what happened to his foot? You would simply report that he was in a boot?

Come the fuck on.

Irving is not the most expansive with reporters. Maybe he did his usual and hid.

The Cavs were probably in a rush and he couldn't ask Kyrie in time what happened....

Kyrie and Windhorst don't have the best relationship, if the past is any indication...

Then maybe he should also report that as well.

To be honest, you'd think the Cavs would want Windy to know it was nothing serious so that he could report it after seeing Kyrie in a boot.

Well, he did say he ran into them before they went sightseeing, but I get the point you are making.

Getting an MRI doesn't even result in covering it? What are they getting paid to do? This is their job!

The guy (Irving) has acted immaturely previously. No reason to think that he has magically "grown up" just because James is here.

They still only know what the team tells them. No national guys were told that Kyrie got an MRI either.
