I've seen several writers today chide Kyrie for taking thirty-six shots as a means of dismissing his accomplishment. These people clearly didn't watch the game. If they had, they'd realize his defense on Lillard was almost as impressive as the scoring.

Personally, I don't care how many shots a player takes if he's making half of them.

He was making so many of them that i thought something was wrong with him any time he actually would miss.

I've also seen people worry about 1 guy taking too many shots and throwing the offense out of balance.

This is the NBA. No matter what offense anyone runs, one thing is constant. If a guy gets hot on your team, you feed him the ball endlessly until he cools off....or not!

Every team does this - happens constantly. And Portland actually did the same with LaMarcus.

Kyrie's shooting percentage was 47.2 percent, which is pretty good for a playmaking point guard.

He also missed his first six shots of the game and proceeded to go 17-for-30 the rest of the way.

He finished 11-for-19 from three.

He was clutch.

He led the Cavs to a victory over oe of the best teams in the west.

He helped hold Damian Lillard, Steve Blake and Wesley Matthews to a combined 9-for-31, including 6-for-19 from three point range.

Focusing on having 19 missed shots in the midst of everything else is a very quick way for a knowledgeable fan to discount your opinion.

Better to view it as eFG% or TS%. Then we're looking at 62.5% and 68%:

Oh, just for kicks. Boobie Gibson's Game 6 vs the Pistons, 31 points on 9 FGAs:
eFG% 1.056
TS% 0.994

Really don't give a rat's ass about ASG anymore but I will say this, Congratulations Uncle Drew! Keep racking up those accolades! Show 'em who's the best G in the East!

The crow tastes like steak today.

He's fully capable of being the best player in the league and owns a skill set that would make most of the greats blush.

Curry is 26 years old with nowhere near the amount of sheer talent and he's leading the MVP ballot.

Kyrie is 22 and has the best player on the planet on his team. I would be shocked if Kyrie ended his career without an MVP award if he plays up to his potential.

I'll be the first to say it then. He's going to put on the best show in the game. I think he's going to really go at Curry and Cp3. Between him and Lebron I think the MVP will stay in CLE. Hell they could be co-mvp's.

Well deserved. Barkley almost dared to say he didn't deserve though.

How the hell does the Heat get two all-stars though? To me, only Bosh should have made it.
