Windhorst says the league was buzzing after his San Antonio performance and predicts Kyrie will make All-NBA first team with LeBron.

The fact that that game was nationally televised certainly didn't hurt...

Pretty much a lock he wins his 4th career player of the week award...good chance he wins his 1st player of the month too, as long as he doesn't fall off a cliff. 26, 5, and 3 shooting 55.2% from the floor, 55.1 from 3, and 91.3% from the line so far in March. Cavs are also 6-1 in games he has played in this month, and that's through the difficult stretch of the month.

and TSS .685, PER 28.3

Westbrook will win player of the month with his multiple triple doubles.

Aren't there eastern and western conference player of the month awards?

Yes.

And OKC is just 6-4 since Westbrook started his triple double tear.

Half way through the month he's clearly the leading candidate for Eastern Conference Player of the Month for March after LeBron won it in February and Kyrie was robbed of the award in January.

Not saying his triple doubles are contributing to victories, just giving perception of the voter.

That said, i forgot there are separate awards per conference.

How many players in history have gotten to the basket as well AND shot as well as Kyrie does in that typical PG size range (6'3 or below)?

Was Iverson even as good as Kyrie is at the basket? Kyrie is certainly the better pure shooter than Iverson is. Westy is probably close, but he's nowhere near the shooter Kyrie is.

I'm thinking about it and does he have the potential to be the greatest scoring PG of all time?

Allen Iverson was great and all....but he shot 41% and only had one solid playoff run.

I think the guy has been a bit overhyped lately...

Oscar and Pistol Pete scored quite a bit.

Pistol Pete was 6-5 though, I don't think that falls into the classic point guard size range. Oscar was just a freak to be honest. It seems ridiculous to think that he basically did what Russ has been doing this month for an entire season.

Isaiah Thomas comes to mind, but I don't think he had Kyrie's jumper.

Kyries game is unique in the way that you can realistically compare him to a mixture of players. His handles/ layups are so deadly and beautiful you can compare him to I. Thomas, AI or Tim Hardaway. He can go bombs away from 3 off the dribble similar to Arenas or Tmac yet his shot creation/making skills would make you compare him to a mini Kobe. I think if he keeps up his level of play for 5-10 more seasons he would have made his own legend and people are going to start comparing the next generation of "showman" guards to Kyrie

what's crazy is he can NBA defenses look as bad as the pick up game defense in those Uncle Drew commercials.

I don't think Iverson is overhyped--I just think Kyrie is THAT good.

In other words: Iverson was a great scorer, and Kyrie is even better.
