Okay, Ky, we see you!

Nike Kyrie 1 “Australia”

The Nike Kyrie 1 “Australia” is a nod to Kyrie Irving’s home of Australia. Inspired by Kyrie’s ball playing history down under, is a special colorway featuring a Teal, Green Strike, Radiant Emerald and Metallic Red. The colorway is one of several iterations that tell the story of Kyrie and it is one of the most eye catchign we’ve seen from the line.

I keep forgetting Irving is from the land down under... fuck.

It may not be this year, it may not be next...but as long as he stays healthy, sometime within the next 5 years Kyrie will become the best player on this team and in the MVP conversation. He has more raw talent and more in his scoring arsenal than Curry.

The offense is comparable and will get closer. Ous the other side of the ball that keeps him out of the conversation

I don't know whether it is me or not, but i just think that it would take Lebron to seriously decline and/or take a 3rd seat to Kyrie and K-Love, for Kyrie to seriously enter that discussion. Kyrie most certainly has MVP talent, but Lebron is the best player in the game at the moment, with the most influence out of anyone, transcendent throughout the many facets of the game. I see Kyrie's chances akin to Scottie Pippen with MJ. I hate to compare, but Lebron is near, if not on that level and i don't see him winning an MVP, niether in the conversation, simply because i don't see Lebron dropping off that much, thats all. Now i could be very wrong, because this kid has the talent that no-one can contain on offence, just ask Danny green (0.00-0.10):

This Kid has the talent. The only thing that i think keeps him out of contention, maybe even the discussion, is the fact that he plays with the best player on the planet. Funnily enough, i'm not at all dismayed about it. And when i say seriously, that means that he's a real chance to win it. Don't get me wrong, I would really love to see him do it, he's my favourite player and has been ever since he came to Cleveland, but i just really can't see it happening. i just can't see Lebron fading away in 5 years. Maybe 7-10, but not 5.Thats just my take anyway.

Kyrie had some nice spurts of solid defense this season, I even remember some games when he locked people down, If he keeps working on it and improve's his effort and consistency I can't see why Ky can't be an above average or even a good defender in the future. David Blatt and Lebron always preach the importance of defense which is something Kyrie didn't really care about when he was playing for a loosing team.

Curry was a pretty bad defender in his first couple of years in the league, only at a age 26-27 he became a solid defender but it took him a lot of years to get to that level, Kyrie is also more explosive and has quicker feet then Curry so I can't see why Kyrie wont be just as good as curry or even better in the future, assuming he really works on it.

About the offensive side, I definitely believe Ky will be better then curry in the future, Curry is the best 3 point shooter in NBA history and that's why its so hard to guard him, but if you look at the overall skill set, Kyrie has better ball handling, mid range, floater and Ky is probably the best PG finisher at the rim already, so yea overall I definitely think Ky will surpass curry, but curry will always be the best shooter in the league.

Just watched Spurs and Portland game highlights for like the 100th time.

Sweet baby jesus.

I need Cavs basketball in my life.
Don't know what I'm looking forward to more buckeye football or cavs basketball

He's going to get into the MVP conversation when LeBron realizes Kyrie should be taking most of the end game shots. LeBron should be the facilitator. Had he done that in game 1 of the finals we probably have the championship.

This plus a thousand.

I think LB has already begun to understand that. He's allowed Kyrie the most freedom playing with him, opposed to others.

LB's scoring rate is going to have to come down, regardless, and he knows it.

I predict Kyrie becomes the leading scorer of the team next year.
