I think ALOT that's been wrong with our offense is Delly. He's seen the most meaningful minutes at PG and when he's in you as a defense to a certain point don't have to guard him. So whenever you see poor spacing and plays designed for LeBron that just look bad it's because there isn't any space ANYWHERE. To compound it JR Smith out of nowhere decides he wants to round out his game and not shoot those 3s that made him legend last year. And he simply hasn't played as good as he did last year. Then to make it even WORSE TT has regressed offensively and whenever he's in he's not guarded.

Kyrie comes in and his presence won't fix everything but it will be immeadiatly visible that he was missed. He comes in and opposing PGs finally have to work on defense so well get a lot more dribble penetration with the intent to score. This takes a man off LeBron because now defenders have to stop Kyrie too so it's spreads the floor and we'll see all that interior passing we loved last year

I disagree. Delly is hitting 42% from three and when he is on the court our ball movement is great. Can’t wait to see some small ball line-ups with Delly and Kyrie

3 point shooting in general has not been great for spacing. Everyone esp JR and Lebron need to improve.

Can't wait, my sweet prince:

(^also living proof that he is the best ball handler in the NBA)

There is no doubt Kyrie is, by far, the better ball-handler.

Curry isn't nearly as versatile with his handle. Kyrie is just a blur, literally. He can just lose guys in a flash with his handle.

Curry is crafty with the ball, kinda like Nash-esque.

I can't wait until Kyrie gets back. It still feels like preseason without him out there.

I have to think the lack of our starting back court is a big reason we've struggled a bit lately.

Excited he is back in full contact practice.

I'm probably more excited for Kyrie to come back than just about anyone, but the bolded is just wrong. There are a lot of issues I see as to why the Cavs have been playing worse as of late, and if I had to make a list of reasons, Delly's play wouldn't even make the top 10. Mo's inability to defend anybody definitely does, however.

Truthfully, Delly is better at "running the offense" than both Kyrie and Mo. At 4.32, Delly still leads the league in assists to turnover ratio by a considerable margin. Now, Mo and Kyrie are both vastly superior scorers, but Delly has improved his offensive game enough that he's now shooting the 3 ball at a 41.7% rate, which is in the top 30 this year. When you take his defensive tenacity into account, he easily ends up being a net positive on the court than a negative.
