Lamar Odom - Found found unconscious at a Nevada brothel.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Crack cocaine is very similar to "free base" from the 70's. Theoretically speaking, there's a clear chemical difference. Practically speaking crack has a different high and a more addictive nature. And my own personal experience is that both crack and coke will alter a person over time, but crack does it faster, more severely, and more irrevocably.

According to the Google, crack is just powder cocaine mixed with water and baking soda and then hardened and smoked. Smoking it creates a higher propensity for dependence, according to various studies. Supposedly the high kicks in after about twenty seconds, as opposed to ten to twenty minutes when snorted.

I've only ever tried the powdered form, though, so I'm not exactly a subject matter expert. I'd give powder cocaine two thumbs up. It's especially fun when mixed with alcohol. Not as in mixing the coke directly with alcohol. That would be silly. Getting drunk and then doing a couple of lines is what I'm talking about. Highly recommended.

Those women are demonic.

I think it is kind of harsh to blame this one on the Kardashians all though i do despise them.

The main reason the marriage had issues was his dependency and the reason the divorce took longer is she was trying to give him every chance to get clean.

He didnt use because of the Kardashians, he used because he was raised by drug addicts and he couldn't beat his past unfortunately.

This is more of a case of a Kardashian being attracted to a "bad boy" not turning him into a bad boy.

Pretty non understanding way to look at an addict. He came from parents who were addicts, thus his demons. As much as i want to say it is that easy to not do crack in a whore house, some people, who are good people, just cant seem to get away from it.

My Wife's cousin was a great guy, got clean, and stayed clean for 3 years, raised his son, good job etc. Ran back into the wrong crowed convinced him to use again and od'ed at 30 years old.

My point is that unless you have been an addict, it is best to say kind words and dont pretend you know or understand. I am lucky, i have never been an addict so i dont have such demons on my shoulder.

I come from a family where alcoholic abuse was common. I never had a problem adjusting. I do have an addivtive personality, but never done any real hard drugs other than acid and shrooms once or twice. I've never had problems resisting drugs like coke and other "harder" drugs. Look I understand doing crack isn't something you just up and stop, but if you're truly worried about soberity and staying healthy, avoid the situation.

Granted, I'm not in his shoes and shouldn't judge. From an outsiders perspective it seems so much easier to stop than I'm sure it is. But I think providing a crutch for addicts to use isn't at all helping the situation. So in a sense I disagree, but again I have no experience besides the fact that I have alcoholics in my family.

I agree to an extent with you Lee and probably am making light of a fragile situation, but at what point do we eliminate ones demons and place the blame directly on the person him or herself? At some point the addiction has to be cut out of the family, and it is that persons job to not use crutches, but to stop on their own.

He made bad choices for sure. Plenty of people, like Lebron, were raised by addicts and did not become addicts themselves.

A person raised by an addict is something like 4 or 5 times more like to become an addict themselves, but its not like 100%, so the person always shares blame at some level.

My only point was probably not the time to come at him harsh, but i agree that except in cases of getting addicted to pain killers because of a rough disease or operation, the person themselves shares some of the blame (not all, but some for sure)

Totally fair point, the Kards are an easy target. That said, they don't exactly project as a family helping him manage his addiction. They are there now to write checks and manage their PR but where were they before the OD?
My sister is an addict. Once I didn't hear from her for 2 days and I knew immediately what that meant. I got on the phone, called family and friends, nothing. Called just about every police precinct in NYC- nothing. Finally found her handcuffed to a gurney in the hallway of a Queens hospital - so spun up on meth they thought she was having a psychotic break and were keeping her under observation before having her committed.
Choosing to look the other way when someone is fighting with addiction is choosing to call a hearse tomorrow instead of doctor today.

It was reported that an episode of KUWTK is what set him off on Sunday night. They're reality stars...that's super...great for them. But, if they cared about him more than their ratings, they would've stopped referencing him in their show. They knew what was going on, they knew his history. Wish him well, offer to help, but keep him out of the show. Addicts have triggers. Being portrayed the way he was on the show is a pretty big trigger. Now they are going to play the victim role and talk about how much they love him and how they're so devastated. They only love themselves, fame and money...not Lamar.

Lamar Odom lost it Sunday ... and the trigger was an episode of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."

Sources at Dennis Hof's Love Ranch South tell us, Lamar seemed normal during his stay until he got a call from someone about the show. Some of the women who were around Lamar say he became irate, complaining about the way he had just been portrayed on the show.

As for what was on the show ... Khloe got 2 calls from Lamar. When she got off the phone Kim criticized Khloe for being flirty with Lamar. In another clip, Lamar called Khloe to tell her that his good friend Jamie had died. When she got off the phone she worried Lamar might spin out of control. And in another scene Khloe fled a club after she heard Lamar was trying to get in.

We're told Lamar remained upset until he was found unconscious.

Up until getting the call, people at the Ranch say Lamar was "chill." There was no evidence he had been high on drugs or alcohol. We're told when he arrived Saturday, he ordered a single bottle of cognac and when he was found unconscious a third of the bottle was left.

I hear you bro, but, reading that doesn't sound like the Kardashians did anything wrong.

I might be missing something, but, it is a reality show; my guess is they film all kinds of shit and Lamar surely signed a release if they're taping his phone conversations with Khloe.
