I had to check back on this thread now that things are heating up a little more.
Honestly I think it’s still very hard to predict his potential but it is all there. Next year he will actually get to be the leader of the team. He really just needs to start being more aggressive and not worry about mistakes.
I think the pressure of the spotlight and playing against and with top talent is very valuable experience. To maximize his growth though I think it is time for him to be the go to scorer on a team.
He has the tools. It’s just a matter of the rest of the development. And everyone is different when it comes to that. Some guys don’t really explode until senior year or college. Or even a couple years into the NBA.
It’s honestly too bad he isn’t like 6’6 because with his athleticism he would be a monster.
