LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Utah would have matched Hayward (how has carried them to a 10-21 record)
And why would Parsons pick our 33-49 team over 49-33 Dallas?

And didn't both guys sign before we even knew we were getting LeBron? Miami found out the same day we did where LeBron was going and all they could manage to sign was Deng and they've fallen from .659 last year to .438 this year (a .221 drop). We lost Deng and added LeBron, we've gone form .402 last year to .600 so far this year (a .198 improvement).
Windhorst has reported that the Cavs were literally about to offer Hayward the max deal when Rich Paul called them during the meeting and told them to wait. The Cavs could have offered Parsons more money than Dallas did and at the time were prepared to do so.

When you put 3 top guys together, you expect individual stats to drop. It happened in Boston when they got KG and Allen, it happened in Miami (they got 3 of the top 4 in PER from the prior season). Why were we supposed to be any different?

Kobe's best scoring season he was a first round exit.
Jordan's best scoring season he was a first round exit.
Love's best scoring season he couldn't make the playoffs.

Most players are okay if their individual stats drop some and the team is winning.
Normally I would agree here. Kyrie did not sign up for this though. When the other Big 3's met up did any of them conspicuously shoot hoops after a particularly bad game?

edit: the first two years, D Wade was top 3 in PER playing with Lebron. Year three he was 7th; last year, dealing with injuries, he was 18th.

Right now the next closest Cav is Kyrie Irving at 43rd. Love is 64th. If Lebron is going to take over point guard duties and not run the offense, it's on him to figure out ways to get other guys more involved.

Kyrie has never been more than 1 game over .500 before this season.
Love has never been more than 3 games over .500 before this season.
Tristan has never been more than 1 game over .500 before this season.
Dion has never been more than 1 game over .500 before this season.

None of them have ever been over .500 more than 20 games into a season before.
So what?
John Wall had never been over .500 til his fourth season (like Kyrie)
Durant had never been over .500 til his third season (like Dion)
Steph Curry had never been over .500 til his fourth season

The Cavs were putting themselves in a position to be good this year whether Lebron came back or not.

I hope these rumors aren't true, what an absolute joke. What happened to being a damn professional? I haven't taken the time to read the entire thread, but it sounds like Bron has A LOT of growing up to do. I thought he came back as a different person, what a dissapointment

Oh man, if we suddenly see a healthy dose of properly executed Blatt sets, the outcome of the game is gonna make things very interesting.

And by interesting, I pretty much mean "wanna puke" either way cuz this sucks.

I'm not going to start trashing Kyrie, because he is having a very good year, his attitude is light years better than last year, and when LeBron is on the floor I love the way he is letting the offense flow and picking his spots to attack.

But when LeBron is not on the floor, Kyrie hasn't been John Stockton reincarnate. He often goes back to dominating the ball like he did in the past. So if LeBron doesn't play, I'm not expecting a clinic in ball movement, even without the #1 ball stopper.

I have no interest in firing Blatt at this point, and LeBron's attitude is a huge hurdle to getting everyone bought in and on the same page. But the offense Blatt has tried to install doesn't look anything like his work in the past, unfortunately.

Blatt maybe tried to install his offense, but I can tell you from someone who is watching Blatt's teams for more than a decade that it wasn't even implemented.
I could see signs of it in the preseason and in summer league, but it didn't transcend to the regular season.
Is it Blatt's fault? - sure it is his fault as well, because he is the coach and he needs to control his players and get them in sync and he isn't succeeding at that (at the moment).
But is he getting a fair shot? not for a moment! he is stuck in a twilight nightmare where he is the HC of a dream team but his best player - hell, the best player in the world - is running the whole franchise with his fingertip, like kind of a circus.
This situation saddens me, because we, Blatt's fans and Cavs fans, could have enjoyed something very special!
Is there still hope - sure! but it's all in "that guy"'s fingertip.

This guy will not be happy anywhere. Let him go to another team and fuck them up, too. Honestly, I'm over it.

You could take Blatt completely out of the picture. Put anyone in his place besides one of LBJ's "boys" and you'd be looking At the same situation. It will always be something with him. I absolutely would take a stand and tell him to eff off.

I hope he makes a liar out of me and I feel dumb. Let's wait and see, right?

Ok, this is pretty much where I draw the line.

All this childishness of passive-aggressively rebelling against your coach sucks, and I don't condone it one bit. It's so depressing to watch my team go through this.

But ya'll miss me with that "let him go", "trade him", "screw that guy, we're better off without him" schtick. This is the best player in the world in nearly everybody's eyes. And even in the eyes of people that think he's lost a step, he's at worst a top 5 player in this league on his worst day, and his presence has drawn another top 10 player and will help attract more.

I watched the embarrassing hell that was the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2010-2013. I watched the embarrassing hell they were from about 1998-2003 too. I've watched the Indians be an embarrassing hell for 85% of the last decade and half, and the Browns be one for 98% of that same span.

I'm over that crap. I'm ready for winning basketball, and while I don't want it to go down this way, let's not pretend that teams haven't had to contort and deal with the craziness and demands of the Kobes, Shaqs, Wades, Jordans, and other superegos of the world to field championship teams.

Like @RchfldCavRaised said the other day, we're apparently back to Lebron holding this team hostage, so I'm just gonna hope he doesn't mess it up any worse than it already has been. I hope it can all be resolved without ditching a competent coach, but maybe it can't, I dunno.

But you can leave me behind with that "kick him outta here, we're better off without him" nonsense. We most definitely are not.

Stereo- I never said we'd be better off without him. That'd be silly. I watched every single game the past four years. So I'm right there with you. I want to win too, but you can't with this type of drama constantly. Did we win before with him? No. So...I'm just not convinced this guy is a winner and I'm tiring of his antics.

These are my exact sentiments, so I'll just quote this and wont say much else around here for a little....

Also, point taken and I see where you're going with your thoughts. I have a strong personality and have a hard time with kissing anyone's @ss- begging them to play for my team. I'd rather someone walk than let them control me. I'm stubborn like that.

Here's hoping they get this figured out so we get that parade down Euclid we're all waiting for. I know our best chance is with LeBron James.

Edit: I'm a girl, so I'm allowed to be emotional. Backing off the ledge now.....ha!

I mean… No, those aren't your sentiments. That is a very reasonable post you quoted, backed up with reasonable thoughts and analysis.

Your "sentiments" the last few weeks have been to consistently basically say "fuck blatt" and have absolved LeBron pretty much of any blame. Actually in one you said "I don't blame lebron."

The rest is mostly laughing at people who disagree with you or think Blatt isn't getting a fair shot, and then those emotional baseless statements you are becoming known for when it comes to Blatt.

Let's just frame what your sentiments actual have been instead sidling up to someone else's reasonable post.

No matter what the truth is or is not. All this BS is almost making me not want to watch games. If he leaves for any reason and I mean any hell I am done with Cleveland sports. That said he will be here there is always Bron drama I think he creates for fun sometimes. I do agree with you lets get this turned around and get that parade downtown. Everyone has to get in with this and have pride and check their ego's and just get it done.

Well since the only thing you like to absorb and take in from my posts are 'Anti-Blatt" messages, I'm going to start off by saying:

Fuck Blatt; and I cant wait to see his ass gone.

Secondly, theSTEREO's respose is exactly how I feel about this fiasco. If you're going to cry the day Blatt gets fired - my inbox will be open for you drop whatever anti-I-77North messages you like, and you can vent about it until you break down and cry about it.

Off my nuts.

Oh okay. Thank you for proving you can indeed contribute quality posts that aren't antagonizing.
