LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Game 5 versus Detroit is one of those performances that I will always remember next to Hakeem doing David Robinson dirty. I was 20 years old and remember exactly where I was for that game v. Detroit. While Jordan did some amazing things, he never pulled anything that comes close to taking over the game himself like LeBron did in Detroit. I find myself reminiscing over all the years I chose to forget (impossible to do BTW) after he left.

Guys... it's about to get real. The team we have now on paper is twice as talented as any team we had during our playoffs run.

There's a lot of talent in this league and the East is more balanced than it has been in at least 5 years. There's going to be a feel out period and some surefire losses that are chemistry related. Put it all aside.

This team is ready to compete for a championship by the all star break. We are youthful, we have vets, we might be the perfect mixture of both that hasn't been seen in this league in it's entire history.

I'm surprised there isn't more discussion on the board. I think half of it is due to people completely caught off guard like myself that don't even know how to react. The other half is the black and grey's of the site skin. (Someone has to agree with me on this)

Let's get some more wine and gold in this piece.
That was one of those performances that are sorry for the cliche but transcendent. I've seen only a few things that compare live.

I hate baseball but Kirk Gibson 's homer stands out as one.
Bo Jackson's MNF game and the last game of his football career.
Isiah's injured 4th quarter in the Finals

I would advise against expecting the world at this point. There are few points in the NBA's lifespan that one should expect the championship mat after not having any real success. The only one I can think of that it worked out so well was when the Sixers went 'fo, 'fo, 'fo after acquiring Moses Malone. Additionally, the Sixers in '65 weren't able to get the job done, nor did the Lakers in '69, nor the Celtics in '73, a certain player broke his foot in '76, the Celtics with Bird in '80, the Phoenix Suns and Knicks in '93, the Spurs in '95, the Jazz in '98, the Heat in '99, the Lakers in '04, the Mavs in 2006, a certain lucked into the Finals in 2007, and a certain team lost due to circumstances (2009 and 2010), the Heat in 2011 and 2014.

If there's one thing I learned from high expectations, it's that you shouldn't have any before you reach the promised land. While we might be able to pull it off this time, you shouldn't expect too much before the book is written.

I'm grateful for what we received, but it's not to the promised land yet. Let's pray we can do it.

Agreed. This is the most promise we've ever had as Cleveland sports fans. I don't want to say it out aloud, but the reality is that somewhere deep down in all of us, we somewhat expect this to finally end the decades of suffering.

That's not to take any of this for granted, though. We really need to manage our expectations as best as possible. As Cleveland sports fans, we've learnt to prepare for the worst. But this time around, this is something that is becoming more feasible than ever before.

Let's enjoy the ride and support our team to the fullest. After all, it's the fans that can transcend a team into a plethora of unimaginable success.

For me, the key word is "believe." Let's try and stay away from the word "expect."

Okay wow have we come full circle and now it is reality... It is like the past four years never occurred as a Cavs fan.... It is odd and now we have good to great players around him. He did us favor for us and him self by leaving the first time. I mean we now have all seen the rights and wrongs and he is back and my favorite sport is back with a big three in Cleveland... I still think I am dreaming sometimes. Our own BIG THREE! The fact we are talking about his hairline proves one thing. Lets get this season started already and watch this team of young and old grown, learn, and win a title. LeBron could have a mullet for fucks sake as long as he and his crew are up to it. Just win us a title!... I like our odds.

Meh. I expect a title.

Maybe not this year. I'm fully prepared for us to not win the first year, but man. This has been such a dream, such a storybook tale so far...

We all know how it needs to end.

Who gives a shit if they let the kid back in, it shouldn't even be a story. Well, it is the waiting period in the off-season with nothing better to talk about.

There seems to be a great deal of people who are not happy with the ban being lifted. They claim that it sends the wrong message and that the ban is supposed to be a lifetime thing. The outrage on twitter seemed a bit much. But I think it stems more from the fact that he switched his fan base. It's a non issue for me, but that's just my take on it.

I agree, I could care less, it doesn't affect me or the Cavs. I'm not wasting my time worrying or complaining that they let a kid back into the Q for running on the court.
